BarnsleyOwl96
With 3 games in a week I think we might see a few changes at forest : Dawson Baker Lees Hector Penney Baz Joey Onomah Reach Joao Nuihu See how new lads do and then assess for the game down at villa

paulrs
Centre backs don’t need resting, and anyway most of them have just had a week off.

HirstWhoScoredIt
He needs to change something at the back because our defending has been awful. i think he’ll give Penney a rest and put Thorniley to left back with Hector coming in. I think the main problem is in midfield. We are vacating way too much space in the middle third. It means teams are getting to run at our back four at will. Absolutely Stoke ran central midfield yesterday they are a very powerful team had they more confidence we could have been embarrassed
HirstWhoScoredIt
I’m really not sure about that. our back four were poor for both goals yesterday (Palmer was blameless). Thorniley, Penney and Lees should have done better. Palmer, Dawson and Van Aken were culpable at Wigan. Our back four was cut to ribbons against Hull (1st half) and Brentford. Tom Lees was at fault for the Reading goal and the Millwall goal. I really don’t think many of the goals have been due to the midfield. Maybe they could have done better at Brentford and Wigan but it’s mainly been pretty poor errors from our defence.

Southie_Owl
I think anything can happen, tho it will most likely be a similar team again. So in order to be radical I will go with 5 changes and a different formation Wildsmith Hector Lees Thorniley Baker Penney Onomah Pelupessy Bannan Joao Nuhiu

oldishowl
Talk about leaving Lees out is nonsense. He is our most experienced defender and best in the air. He is also used to playing 3 games in a week. He will play all 3 without doubt. Will be very surprised if both young lads play all 3. The midfield is an issue. Reach is contributing very little in that position. Joey is average so although Bannan carries us going forward but we struggle defensively. Given our limited options he should be considering Jones who will at least sit in there and not leave the big holes we saw yesterday. He won’t though.
