I mean maybe something that’s stopping him from getting back into the normal swing of things, as a professional athlete after a normal injury or series of injuries might be expected to. Like perhaps a more chronic condition (which I actually said). But yeah of course you’re right, goes without saying that he hasn’t somehow evaded a terminal diagnosis while working with high-end medics every week. It’s “crazy” insofar as I don’t think I’ve ever heard a story about a signing that was this exciting on paper being this wrecked by health stuff, yet playing barely any games in between those two states of being. Rogers Posted July 15, 2018 Share Posted July 15, 2018 (edited) To be fair to CC (or who ever signed them) both players had won promotion or have vast Championship experience previously (I believe) and could have offered the additional strength in depth to the squad for the season when we needed to just build on what we had; with Abdi probably more of a marquis signing that could offer that bit of special skill every now and then. Jones probably has done a job without setting the world on fire; steady but nothing better than we have. Hence the criticism Abdi’s just been a total crock, like Matias, and has never got into any sort of form. Abdi’s Forest away performance (much like Matias’ Leeds away performance) is about as much as we’ve seen. Unloading them could be difficult with their age and wages expectations.
