I am pleased Joao is starting to come to the fore and back my judgement that this kid could be a very good player. We need to back him, nurture and develop him. He’s still raw in areas and he can’t last 90 minutes but he has all the attributes to become a top player in the modern game. Unlike the vast majority of the spineless cowards who’ve been turning out for us in recent weeks and can have zero complaints when they get dropped when our better players return to fitness. Echo the sentiment but does anyone know when any of the first team will return. Back to the OP, he's done well. His performances stand out even more as he's often surrounded by mediocrity. Performances alone are enough but considering he's also come through the, quite common, baptism of fire with some of our supporters and considering the season and the way he's been moved around it's even more remarkable.
