Excluding Carlos please...

Terrance Your Wrath

Any worse?

Yep Turner and especially Jewel. Much much worse.

Not had much luck with managers at championship level before Gray.

Even Sturrock couldn’t hack it, Laws was Peaks and troughs (more troughs) and Irvine well I can’t say anything about him as I don’t have my coaching badges.

It’s very difficult to judge a lot of managers over the last 20 years as most of them were working under very tough circumstances.

I’ll have a go anyway, here’s my top 5 anyway (1 being the worst), I’ve tried to take into account what each manager was working with compared to others at that level...

1/ Danny Wilson

2/ Alan Irvine

3/ David Pleat

4/ Carlos Carvalhal

5/ Chris Turner

I know I can't mention Carlos but a lot of the managers named were crap because we didn't have a lot of money to spend, even Turner found some gems,Carlos has spent millions and is as bad as any of them

He has spent lots of money...but he also got us two top-six finishes.

David Pleat - put us were we are now (at least started the process).

Yes I remember Mr Pleat putting Waddle in central Midfield as some kind of sweeper against Stan Colleymore on his debut for Liverpool?

I think Stan had a quiet game...

Steve burtenshaw; len ashurst ; dave jones but the winner is IRVINE , no contest

Jones got us up and kept us up - shouldn’t be forgotten amidst the shocking football.

Irvine was poor but pretty much every manager at the time had zero to work ...we were, and still are, a difficult club to manage.
