Apart from Bolton....

Please tell me what Big Sam has achieved in the last 10 years?

He took Bolton and West Ham up via the play offs.  Bearing in mind West Ham were an ex premier league side with big players and parachute money.

Most of you here say that 2nd or above is only good enough.  So what the fudge is Sam gonna do?

Answered your our own question. Well done.

He won a play off final with West ham

He's relegated which team ?

Got unfashionable Bolton up at 2nd attempt then kept them there

Finished 8th and then qualified for Europe in 6th

Notts county. He also inherited a VERY good Bolton squad.

Been travelling around the world earning cash from foreign tv companies...saying it's the first time in years he hasn't had stress...why would he change that

In a word: ego.

Allardyce won't want his final act as a manager to be that ignominious England sacking; he'll be itching to write one final positive chapter in order to try and rescue something of his legacy and reputation. I'd be amazed if he doesn't have one last crack at management. Now whether or not he'd view Wednesday as a suitable vehicle for his aspirations is another matter entirely. Personally, I'd doubt it.
