OK , let's try some speculative Maths.

We know Chelsea's - therefore the World's - top young guns are on £30 k per week.

We know 2nd tier clubs such as Everon and Leicester are interested so we've gotta assume that they'd offer around £20 k per week.

And their reported top valuation was £2 million.

So, using this £20 k as a base, that would mean a 4 year contract for Hirsty now puts us at risk for some £4 million.

Less his current valuation, means a £ 2 million total liability.

To me, this seems manageable when Celtic can sign him for free in 3 months.

Especially when compared to the upside of a top striker one day who can shoot us to glory, while increasing his value massively.

Am struggling to see the problem here, except maybe a clash of egos, as Hirsty may face career death in Scotland and couldn't hack abroad.

Why didn't the Radio Sheffield Journalists chuck the Hirst situation at Carlos? Just to anger him some more? No player has spoken about their hopless collective derby performance nor as anyone dug to find out the situation with Hirst. We can read the situation well but at least give the official line on it. Fans stay loyal, paying through the nose despite little progress. Yet the club are desrespectful by keeping stum. Come on!

Well first off the other top academy players would probably be a bit miffed if Hirst was suddenly earning tens of times their wage, and the first team players on less than or around £20k might be slightly annoyed that a kid who's played about ten minutes of first team football gets what they get.

Now you could say that they shouldn't moan because Hirst is a better prospect than them, but of course we have no idea if he actually is going to be better than them.

We've already seen the problems breaking a wage structure for some players can cause, and those players had a hell of a lot more pedigree than scoring a lot of youth goals and being called Hirst.

Other clubs can afford to pay him that much because it's within what they normally pay, because Premier League.

If we want to pay kids that much, we need to get promoted and established in the Prem.

Know for a fact that a certain poster with a yellow gif thing knows the terms of the offer thus credible in their comments re contract/offer/treatment.

Know for a fact that same poster won't be posting details of said offer for scrutiny on here.

What is the point of all the speculation?

Lad wants to be treated fairly and doesn't feel this is the case.

Neither do his representatives.

What would you tell your lad, seriously; if he was doing a good job at work and got offered less than you thought he was worth.

Even if you take into account that you'd probably accept a bit less because he likes it there and are happy for him to prove himself over time and reap the benefits then?

What if taking that into account you still thought his employer was undervaluing him?

What would you advise?

Some of us may be happy with this and some may not, but to discredit him and someone else who both love this club is beyond the pail.

Some f00kers on here need to give their heads a wobble.

Just make sure that it doesn't rattle too much.

He really ought to be keeping his trap shut then.
