Excuses for not going to Leeds away thread

Recommended Posts

Whyever the roger would I want to pay extortionate prices to go to a shitehole where I get my ticket checked ten times before I get in the ground, then twice after, plod are as bad as the nuggets on the street, have full bottles of Stella lobbed at me from a car, which then turns around to mount the curb in order to hit me, doormen try to fight me, then plod round me and several others to escort us a hundred yards to the station 'for our safety'?

Yeah, I'm washing my hair.

It being on sky is a good enough reason as it's the very reason I'm not going and the same reason I changed my mind about going to Newcastle on Boxing Day.

This. Coupled with finances after Christmas. And going to Forest the week before.

I do, however, concede that if we start putting some decent performances in I might go to both.

I'm on minimum wage, have a house, a car, a 2 year daughter to pay for, I have been to Elland Road on many occasions,  it's live on TV. Nowadays I select the away matches I attend, any on Tv I will not be going to (play offs apart, depending on pts) Hope this is a good enough for you. BTW I agree our numbers to Leeds have been poor since the Kirkland incident, but I don't feel the need to question why people aren't going, if they want to go they will, if they don't want to or for whatever reasons are unable to they won't UTO!

Still undecided yet.

I said I wouldn't step foot back in the place again a few years back after they kept us in after the game for a good hour and the stewards were laughing about it. Add to that getting into the ground was like trying to enter North Korea with the amount of searches and document checks - even had my ticket checked INSIDE the ground ffs! - and there's more than enough reasons here not to go again.

Saying that, sick of Leeds fans saying we never turnout, despite them opening their top tier twice in about 5 years, so might consider it this year. On the other hand, a full turnout kind of contradicts our reasons for not turning up in previous seasons.
