Right back.

Recommended Posts

Needs an upgrade.

3 players but not none of the standard required for the league position we aspire to in my opinion.

Hunt has neither assuredness at the back or end product at the other end.

Palmer,  I like him but he is a converted midfielder. Decent as a back up, but not really specialist in that position. Prone to the odd mistake.

Vermijl. Hardly seen enough of him to judge. But nowhere near the first team.

Would like to see us chuck some money at this position.

Someone of the standard or Roland Nillson would do nicely...or one who can really threaten in an attacking sense.

Wouldn't we all want a RB of Nilsson's standard? :rolleyes:

Where the feck would we get one from though?

Never mind, Hunt is not even in the same stratosphere as what Nilsson used to be so at least there should be a reasonable upgrade that is within budget somewhere.

Obviously we can't have the full offensive & defensive package, because those players don't play lower league football

So it depends what CC wants from his full backs

We could go the other route and sign someone like, Chambers from Ipswich, who is a converted centre half

I doubt CC would want that though, because THE DIAMOND IS COMING Woy.png

There is only a certain amount of money in the pot. Hunt concerns me I admit, but probably not as much as other areas.

I personally think him and Pudil are wing backs all day long, but that formation won't be happening.

Even as a wing back he just doesn't carry any attacking threat. Gets in good positions but then just passes it backwards to lee or wallace. Frustrates the hell out of me.

Why all of a sudden is hiding getting sick?

Big fan of him, pace, energy and a great touch.

We seem to be finding someone to blame for points behind dropped....earlier this weak it was Hooper, now it's Hunt.

Sasso is a RB as well as CB and I would have liked to see him and play there once or twice when he was here. I worry about him physically at CB but RB could be ideal for him.

It wouldn't, no. Sasso an attacking full back won't work.

Hunt gets a lot of undeserved stick, but I think he's a good attacking right back at this level. Never got the negativity, apart from a pretty poor start, he's looked good.

I think Lee is a fantastic midfielder but how can we accomodate Jones, Abdi, Wallace, Bannan, Lee, FF,  (and possibly Hutch when we have Lees and Loovens, and possibly another, fit at centre half.)  Lee has played full back earlier in his career and I think I'd rather see him there than sat on the bench because you can bet other clubs will come sniffing.

i think he gets undeserved stick as well as he isnt that bad  but your always looking to get better players in and hunt to me is the obvious candidate to be replaced...

Carlos has not spoken of right-back as being a position he's looking to strengthen. When linked with the Turkish guy, Sarioglu, Carlos brushed it off. Seems content with his options for that position, even if many of you aren't.

If Carlos wasn't happy with Jack then we would not have signed him in January.

Everybody has differant opinions but two clean sheets vs relegated teams followed by a freak set of circumstances vs Burton and people are complaining the defence is too weak.

Part of of the issue against Burton could have been avoided if we had kept Dielna with the squad , especially after failing to sign Bennett and given the injury to Loovens, I agree he's not the best and we are actively looking to upgrade but he's what we needed on Tuesday a specialist left sided CB.
