They've got no choice if we've met his release clause, Add to that the 3 year deal we're giving him, At his age it will be his last lucrative contract so can definitely see why he's dropping back down a level. Their fans are a bit surprised and sad that he's leaving, a very good sign and shows his quality. Great strategy signing experienced players at or around 30 years old if it comes off and we get promoted. But a risk if we don't and were saddled with players on the wane, but on big wages. In terms of getting promoted from the Championship though an experienced squad is perfect. This is a fantastic signing.
