Gives the old folk at the football league summat to do before rigomortess sets in.

Can imagine em all getting giddy and blowing party horns like at the old aged pensioners home Christmas party.

"Cecil" "what Doris?" "Send a telegram to SWFC we might have got em by the hairys"

"Will do" giggles and party poppers all over the fack1n place

F8ck em

The FA would have loved it if that mistake wasn't spotted in time

It'd be expulsion from the football league

10 point deduction at start of next season in the conference

Life time ban for Fessi

And a transfer embargo for 5 years.

But as it stands they can do PHOOK ALL

Phuck off FA w@nkers lol

You sound a bit like those Blades who still go on about some conspiracy theory, when they relegated from the Premier League.

There is no "agenda" by any of the football authorities against us. We made a simple mistake (which we rectified) however under the rules (see Oxon and Roamin's earlier posts on this page) the League have the right (and given the litigious nature of some clubs these days probobbarby the obligation) to look at the matter to ensure it is all above board. League are just covering their own arris's on this in case Cardiff or anyone else gets a bit uppity about it.

Should there be any other extenuating circumstances which require a nominated Player or substitute to be replaced during the aforementioned period, the Referee shall allow such replacement and report the full circumstances to The League. The League shall then initiate any inquiries it may deem fit so as to satisfy itself as to the bona fide nature of the replacement.

That's the key bit of info, and it seems completely normal that the Football League would ask for clarification on why the mistake was made in the first place. If only to ensure that whoever was responsible for the original mistake is now fully up to speed with the regulations.

Some embarrassing posting going off in here, as if the worlds against us for some reason (a world which the FA apparently run). You'd be more suited at Bramall Lane with that attitude.

Mistakes happen, in every day life, just because we're a professional football club doesn't mean we won't make mistakes, we're all still only human.

We saw our mistake, we rectified it, we learn from it and we move on.

End of.

Think the embarrassing thing is that we, as in Sheffield Wednesday, didn't see the the mistake.

Took a tweet from a fan for the penny to drop.

Punishment will be minimal, if anything, for this. BUT with crucial things at stake the whole set up needs to cut out silly errors like this.

Yes, I understand where you're coming from but again mistakes will and have happened ,it was a mistake and it's been sorted now, I don't think their will be any harm done, we move on.

We didn't see the mistake though did we.

A fan did.

On Twitter.

Extremely unprofessional, regardless of any which way you want to dress it up.

Some rather negative stuff surrounding the club at the moment - a bad result last Saturday and more speculation about CC and Swansea.

Very big test this weekend and one we really need to pass..just hope CC has the players together and focused.

Be a shame if we started to to fall away now..

Yeah, it started before the Bristol game so hopefully it can be nipped in the bud

To be honest unless somebody has just made an genuine error when printing the team list and there was no intention to have Bennett on the bench there is no excuse

Carlos knows his loan players and must always start his planning by putting a line through one of them

Human error won't wash in this one. It's just total negligence simple as that

I've never seen a bigger overreaction to a situation in my life.

Do you inhabit the land called Melodrama.

We didn't get docked points for actually playing a match with 6 loanees a while back. One of the loanees even scored.

Nor did Leeds when they did the same.

We wouldn't get docked points when we rectified the situation in time. Maybe a warning, maybe a fine.

Although the fact this is our second offense (kind of) could be held against us.

To be fair, he is overreacting.

But what would have happened if we had named those 6 loanees and won? We would have almost certainly been docked points, which depending on how results went at the weekend (fortunately regardless they went in our favour), would have been bad and you wouldn't have been so laid back about it now

Or what if it had been done in the play-off final and we'd won? Embarrassing wouldn't even begin to cover it as I'm not sure the FA, Football or Premier League could fairly allow us to enter the top division had we broken the rules at Wembley.

Ifs, buts and maybes do not a good argument make I know, but it is an elementary mistake and one that on another day could prove to be costly to the tune of over £100 million. We're a Championship Football Club chasing the play-offs to get to the richest league in the world... mistakes like what happened on Saturday cannot be permitted to happen at any cost
