Caicos Owl
United had theirs done after ours, so why is there's still looking very good and ours worn and bare? Genuine question Probably cos they don't play football on theirs
bryan1966
Looks a lot better than this time last year. Imagine Bannan trying to turn.on that he'd have been injured every game ,
bigdan2003
Patchy in places. Overall I thought it looked fine, held up well with the torrential rain. It's had a lot of rain on it in recent weeks. Previous years the pitch would have been unplayable. Is it just me, or does Dom Howson constantly look for a negative? I suppose that's his job.... richowl
Looked pretty awful from grandstand, usually sit on kop. Wouldn't be surprised if it was mainly the plastic fibres left now. Club has two sets of growing lights, gonna need a few more groundsmen want/need 8 or 9 in total. doesn't look like they'll get them.
itsonmyhead
United had theirs done after ours, so why is there's still looking very good and ours worn and bare? Genuine question it could be how the much natural sunlight their pitch gets, ours could fall into shade faster due to our larger stadium
Beholder
We've had more rain over the last 2-3 months than in any comparable period before. Can't be ideal conditions for bedding a new pitch in.
crookesowl
If we wanted to we could use Lighting rigs to make the grass grow, however we aren't going to spend the money in the Championship when the pitch plays fine enough, even if it is a little bare in places
Guest _Ibbo_
The ball was running straight and true. The pitch is in far far better shape than last season. It's not pooling water as well. The draininge is much improved. Which is just as important, it's also very sandy as well. The underlying infrastructure improvements are more important than a coupe of bare patches. Buxtongent
Is it an inbuilt trait that, in order to be a Wednesdayite, one must AlWAYS have a grumble about something? If it's not the players, it's the Price to enter. If it's not , then next we grumble about the pitch. Then we grumble that we can't see for the support posts for the Kop Then the seats are too cold.. Then it's the Car parking facilities Next it's the..........? In case anyone didn't go (ie were not one of the 15,000 but if it's a 'top' match, will be one of the 30,000) yesterday it absolutely poured down for most of the game, and the pitch and the new drainage took it all, along with some of the crap played on it. modboy
Flip side of wednesdayite is that we can't take any criticism of the club. The pitch doesn't look as good as it should / of our competitors tbf

Chris E
With the amount of rain we've had, there's no wonder it's been affected while it's bedding in. Like others have said, it is still running perfectly without bobbling and that's the main thing. We've had pitches with more grass previously that have bobbled all over the place. It must be an in-built trait. I've lost count the number of times I've seen you (and others) grumbling about people grumbling! It's a forum where people discuss Nuhiu to the price of Bovril to the state of the pitch to Forestieri's shin pads. People have different opinions and express them. Just a way of life, don't get hung up on people having different (no matter how negative) opinions.
