danswfc1987
Didn't go to the game yesterday. dom howson says pitch looking bare. Can anyone confirm this and should it start looking bare after the money we have spent on it?
trev
Takes a while for it to settle properly apparently. This time next season is when it should be more noticeable.
smhouston
I thought it looked OK. Maybe around the keepers standing area it was bare but I don't think you can stop that
fpowl
It looks like we have very little grass and if we didn't have the desso it would contend with last years tripe. That said with a full summer grow next year should be better. The desso and drainage has made a difference,
Guest oz_owl
Patchy in places, but still runs true. Not sure I've seen the ball bobble more than once all season!

Corneliusreeve
2 posts 2 negative comments . Are you usually this positive ? Well there's nothing else to moan about, even Nuhiu scored, so let's scapegoat the pitch.

oldtawnyowl
Reyt waste of money IMO. Spent £1m on inserting millions of nylon threads and they haven't grown at all as far as I can see.
Guest normski
Looked a bit bare in front of the dugouts. RichieB
Takes a while for it to settle properly apparently. This time next season is when it should be more noticeable. United had theirs done after ours, so why is there's still looking very good and ours worn and bare? Genuine question
modboy
Looked pretty awful from grandstand, usually sit on kop. Wouldn't be surprised if it was mainly the plastic fibres left now. Club has two sets of growing lights, gonna need a few more
mike312
I thought it looked poor tbh. The grass looks long in places and bare in others. It doesn't look as good as I thought it would.
Bigger Guns
United had theirs done after ours, so why is there's still looking very good and ours worn and bare? Genuine question Guessing because their pitch was already half decent whereas ours was a shambles
oldtawnyowl
If I remember correctly United sowed their grass seed before the Desso was installed, thus giving it more time to root and grow than our pitch which was sown after the Desso was in place. I'm sure that we will see the advantages of Desso next season when the grass has had a full summer growing season.
swfc1983
Who cares what it looks like as long as the players can play on it, unbeaten since August suggests the players don't mind
PortlandOwl
Theres a couple of ridges in front of the North Stand, towards the Leppings Lane but I think it could be from where the ref and linesmen do their warm ups.

RichieB
Who cares what it looks like as long as the players can play on it, unbeaten since August suggests the players don't mind Because it's been getting worse over the last month or so and if it keeps getting worse it could become a bobbly pitch and not help us later in the season when we will really need to be at it.
