January Transfer Window Thread

Yeah, they seem to be losing all their best players and not replacing them well. Wood was a good signing for them. I could see them struggling without him and they're due another implosion. lol

My Leeds fans at work don't rate Wood at all, say that despite him scoring, he's a poor footballer and is a "donkey"

Wood has been dogger for them. I'm glad we wasted 3 million on Forestieri instead of Wood lol

I think noon would be a better option than mcgeady in terms of how he would fit into an energetic side

Exactly. Plus before I would've thought they wouldn't sell to us but they might consider it if it helps them get out of their embargo? In my opinion he stands out for them and he was the difference for them against Wolves.

Glad we got Forestieri too a far better all round player. He was a superb buy for us. One of the best we've made in a very long time.

I could see Leeds getting sucked into the relegation battle again without Wood's goal threat.

I'm not so sure on McGeady, he'd cost a fortune to start with but what concerns me more is how long it would take to get him upto match fitness.

We've seen how long it took Hooper, can we afford to carry him that long as he's hardly played at all for Everton.

The other thing is would he be a shoe in to replace Wallace. They are different players and although other players outshine Wallace he is still doing a very good job for the team I don't think CC would just drop him.

Its not about who he is replacing in the starting 11.  He would be coming here to provide another option on the wings, and probably not be expected to start week-in-week-out.  At the moment we only really have one specialist wide-midfielder who looks play-off standard (Wallace) - Bannan is also awesome there of course, but we need him in the middle.  Matias could be anything yet, we don't know, but Sougou looks to have his limits.  McGeady makes sense, and could also provide cover if anything happens to FF too.

The other good thing is that he'll be busting a gut to perform well as the reason he's going out on loan is to play his way into the ROI Euro '16 squad.  So the previous questions about his motivation will, I think, largely be answered.

Does anyone think DC gonna spend big?

A nice pressie for us fans.

Just with the McCormack supposed bid a while ago.

Bully supposedly saying gonna spend big (10m)

Rhodes interest (heard had bid accepted but won't pay 40k wage)

Or do we think maybe Hooper be the biggest prob 3.5m

Reckon if get Hooper and Pudil signed up that might be our lot.

Rhodes is struggling, and not worth the sort of money quoted. Think Boro have just had another bid turned down for McCormack, and if we are getting Hooper, I honestly can't see us having any interest in a similar style of striker
