Llera must be played as a holding midfielder

Recommended Posts

And here's why !!

He makes a 3 man centre half defence when required.

He can pick passes out for fun.

He will head more than Semedo at corners.

He provides a threat at offensive corners

He takes and scores free kicks

Why the hell is he constantly on the bench. Absolute and utter disgrace !!

Not Llera, Reda next to Semedo or McCabe. Will absolutely dominate can get up and down left and right. Llera can't cover the ground which is Semedo's problem at this level really, and Reda is probably the only player who will head even more than Llera

Touch and passing needs fine tuning but doesn't have to be perfect, that is the responsibility of the management to recognise he should play there and give him specialised training and advice.

Semedo is good but limited in the amount of ground he can cover

Him or McCabe next to Reds and we will win the midfield. We don't want Reda getting sent off and the other player will mean he doesn't have to go for and win every tackle.

The defence thus far has made Semedo's performances look sub par.

Semedo is more than capable of dominating the holding midfield role, this is the last player I ever want to see used as a scapegoat.

personally I think semedo has to hold a lot of the blame for the goal at wolves and one at bolton. his performances are sub par and I wouldn't be disappointed to see him dropped.

Watch the wolves goal back, watch how he messes up his block and then fails to put a tackle in on doyle leaving him to play a through ball to ebanks blake and then win a free kick.

Nine times out of ten they're getting past Semedo.

With the defence as leaky as it is and the lack of goal threat as well as no-one capable of being reliable when it comes to dead ball situations, this surely has some merit!

Any CM combination of Semedo, McCabe & Barkley hasn't offered enough cover for our, quite frankly, sh*te defence.

2 goals conceded every game and a run of 6 losses - something has to change ...

Midfield 5 of

Lee .... Semedo.... Llera .... Reda .... Mattock

lol

You've started one thread stating it's a disgrace to play JJ out of position, yet here you are advocating playing another player out of position, you truly are Madowl.

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

You cant give only one example of Semedo missing a tackle and then assert that they are getting passed him "9 times out of 10".

Yes Semedo is playing slightly below his standard of last year, but thats because last year he was so bloody good, and the Championship is a more difficult league. Doesnt mean he should be dropped.
