Terrible performance really. not at any stage did we look in control.

I actually thought Bannan was excellent, loovens was ok and the rest were well below par including reach.

Two annoying things about tonight:  one is obviously the pivotal penalty miss but the second was not talking advantage of what must have been one of brightons weakest defensive performances of the season.

westwood 5 at fault for the goal completely missed a simple challenge for the ball

hunt 5 was decent until his injury

lees 7 solid as ever

loovens 6 solid possibly could have done better for second goal

pudil 4 Looks incapable of last seasons performances still has pedigree but doesnt have the legs anymore for this level

wallace 4 wasn't in the game much, poor free kick

bannan 7 probably our best player calm on the ball worked hard capable of beating a man

hutchinson 3 was woeful has probably been motm for past 5 or 6 games but looked a yard off the pace today and unable to adapt his game and just get goal side of his man and stay on his feet

reach 6 was largely decent provided more of an attacking threat than in recent weeks, lost his man for second goal and his head started to drop again

winnall 4 anonymous, dont want to be to harsh early on but im not sure our system is going to suit him

ff 4 not really his night outshone by brightons star man

fletcher 5 was a little more involved than winnall but looks like a posh mans nuhiu good feet decent hold up play never looks like he might score stupid reaction for an experienced player

mcmanaman 5 looks decent when he sticks to playing football also looks like an accident waiting to happen and teams will easily get him sent off

palmer 5 hes always a 5 or 6 out of 10 really decent but not for where we want to be

Westwood   6     Couple of good saves but at fault with first goal

Hunt   6

Loovens    5

Lees    6

Pudil   4. Outclassed by knockhart

Bannan   7    Decent game marred by his final ball

Hutchinson    5 Stupid last tackle - you are better than that

Reach    7. Best of a bad bunch

Forestieri   4  Awful pen, even worse follow up. Poor touch all night and very little effort

Winnall   5. Poor but no service

Palmer   5

Fletcher  5 Unprofessional red card. Let us down

Mcmanaman   4   Red card waiting to happen

Golden opportunity thrown away.

Is there an option for none of them?.

Westwood - 4 - rare off day. Should have done better with both goals. Especially be the 1st

Pudil 2 - nothing going forward, destroyed by knockaert. Liability all game. Looks out of his depth.

Loovens - 4 - at fault for their winner. Otherwise okay.

Lees - 5 - did his job without pulling up any trees.

Hunt-4- wiped out early looked okay going forward, usual issues at back

Reach- 4 - would have given him a 2 but for a 10 minute period 2nd half. How this guy cost 5 million I'll never know. He can't cross, can't beat a man, can't defend, can't pass, has no skill, he's not fast. He's nothing about him and cost more than twice what knockaert did. Let that sink in.

Bannan - 5 - good in patches but so negative. Is he to blame for our negative style.. if we're playing hutch we need someone with some drive. They are both too negative. Time for abdi to shine?

Hutch- 1 - would have got a 4 but not got his awful challenge. Wasn't himself today. Not in their faces like usual.

That challenge would have been a straight red had it not been in the 94th minute and him already on a yellow. Irresponsible.

Wallace - 3 - did nothing came too narrow time and time again.

Winnal - 3 - did nothing but to be fair he got zero service. But I don't think he worked hard enough on the press.

Forestieri - 3 - worst I've ever seen him. Did nothing. Pens get missed. A rebound 5 yards out Straight to him shouldn't be. Lost his head and wasn't interested after.

Palmer - 4 - was alright, lack of quality

Fletcher-1 - did nothing to change game. Stupid red. Not good enough from our apparent top earner. Been poor last month or so.

Macca - 3 - more interested in trying to get in fights than put Ball in.

Carlos- 3 - tactics poor. Subs had no impact. Team didn't attack when 11vs10. He has to take responsibility for that. Like a lot of Wednesday fans.

Starting to lose patience. It's dull it's boring and it's predicable. We could have played all weekend and we still wouldn't score.

How are we in 6th?

Westwood 5 - reminded me of how he came out of goal against Birmingham for their first

hunt / Palmer - 6 not slot to say

loovens / lees 7- did OK , we're put under unnecessary pressure with sloppy passes infront of them

Wallace 5- quiet

reach 7- good game but guilty of giving ball away late on

bannan 7.5- excellent MOM

hutch 5 - oh dear , quiet game and then stupidity

FF- 5 disappointing and penalty miss. Felt sure he'd go same way as hudders penalty - wish he had

winnall - didn't see him enough to give a score

subs - can't be arsed

Absolutely gutted, what a great chance missed. And that's why we lost our heads at the end- the lads knew it was a big opportunity blown

Westwood 6

Hunt 6 shame injured

Loovens 4 a bit timid for both goals?

Lees 6 needs to show more defending set pieces

Pudil 3 knockaerts or any decent wingers dream and wont get better at 31, surely fox isn't that bad?

Wallace 3  - plays easy backwards/sideways passes not incisive ones, no crosses, shots or threat, invisible except for popping up to take

a tame free kick and some ok corners, v poor despite scoring his 1st goal last week

Bannan 6.5 had acres at times but couldn't quite hurt them despite effort

Hutchinson 4 silly but it was probably due and also due a game he had little influence on

Reach 7.5* credit for an improved performance, dangerous crosses, sharp, energetic and mainly good passing

Forestieri 5 bottled it tonight, needs to step up now he's had a pay rise

Winnall 4 500k ish looked about right tonight, poor service but not pacy so looked like a poor mans hooper

McManaman 4, 1 good cross, 1 seriously bad attitude, looks dangerous in good and bad ways

Palmer 3, gutless and never improves

Fletcher 3, silly with his 'experience', needs to step up when he comes back or he will be another expensive

last big contract signing for low return like pudil & abdi

Reach MoM.

If he was playing in front of a better full back, we might see more of him going forwards but Pudil had an off game tonight which resulted in he and others trying to cover his a..rse.

Bannan, Reach and to a certain extent Hunt before his injury were seemingly the only ones trying to get us out of 3rd gear tonight.

No service to the front 2 in the 1st half other than long balls against 2 commanding CB's who rush out and clear everything.

A lot of our performances this season seem to be about not over committing and expending too much energy early doors in games which may be to manage the fitness of the players throughout the season, the second half we stepped it up and looked a much better team for it, perhaps that's where the frustration in the players is boiling over from.

The lack of discipline from both Fletcher and Hutchinson was appalling.

Westwood 5, what was he doing for the first

Hunt, 6 didn't do much wrong

Lees, 7, OK but can't do it all on his own

Loovens, 5, not himself.

Pudil, 6 Jekyll and Hyde

Wallace, 5 apart from 1 freekick I can't remember him doing anything else

Bannan, 7, very involved but too deep

Hutch, 5 I think it was a someone in a Hutch mask because that wasn't the real Hutch

Reach, 7 MOM, he tried, did better than most

Fessi 5, I've not marked him down for the penalty miss, he was just meh.

Winnall, 5 he didn't, in fact he didn't win anything

MacManaman 7 for the football 2 for being a bellend

Palmer 6 he tried

Fletcher5, least said the better

Westwood 4 - Decent save early on, should have prevented 1st goal & should have claimed the cross for the 2nd.

Hunt 5 - Having a decent game until his injury.

Lees 6 - Ok didn't do a lot wrong.

Loovens 5 - Similar to Lees but went to sleep at the 2nd.

Pudil 2 - Absolutely awful, his worst game in a Wednesday shirt.

Wallace 4 - Anonymous, offered nothing.

Hutchinson 4 - Clouded in red mist from the first minute.

Bannan 7 - Worked his socks off, final ball let him down.

Reach 7 - MOM for me but as with Loovens fell asleep for the 2nd goal. Stamina falls off the cliff at about the 80 min mark.

Winnall 5 - We didn't really play to his strengths.

Forrestieri 4 - Looked a yard off the pace all match, far too casual with the penalty.

Palmer 5 - Did ok, as usual offers little going forward.

Fletcher 4 - Was doing ok till he allowed himself to get wound up.

McManaman 5 - Nothing special, seemed to use all his pace & energy getting involved in arguments.

Carlos 5 - Poor game management, as is the norm this season he seems more concerned with stopping the opposition, than using the talents we have at our disposal to go for the jugular & pin the opposition in their own half.
