I think we will beat Sunderland.

So we will stay up if on the final day even if.....

We are 1 point behind Birmingham (draw with Norwich)

We are 1 point behind Plymouth (draw with Hull)

If we are within 2 points of Blackburn (lose to Leicester)

If we are within 2 points of QPR (lose to Coventry)

We need 4 points in 2 games to definitely stay up.

lol

We really want Hull to win their next couple to ensure that Norwich and Hull are fighting for the points on the final day at Birmingham and Plymouth.  Don't want Norwich to be resting players for the play-offs and Hull disconsolate and on the beach.

It’d take me more than a doomed shot at the playoffs to turn that ship around if I was a Hull fan

Best case scenario we need 4 more points, but that’s hoping things go our way.

Hudders can be relegated next week, if Brum beat them, we then need 5 and hoping Plymouth LL to end the season.

If Plymouth get 1 point from their final 2, we then need 6 points.

So, when does a game because must win?

Imho, If we place all the Owlstalk comments  inside the Large Hadron Colider we will find clear evidence of the Higgs-Boson particle, dark matter,  and results of all remaining Championship fixtures.

The Large Hadron Colider won't save us, unless they manifest a black hole, which brings an end to the football season before it can be completed...

However, I've just run this thread through Microsoft Copilot Chat GPT - 4 Large Language Model, and It still seems we are still in a situation, which is not necessarily too our advantage...

I’d say best case..

We beat Blackburn

Owls - 47

Brum - 46

Huds - 44

and Huddersfield beat Brum

Huds - 47

Owls - 47

Brum - 46

Hudds have Ipswich away on the last game with Ipswich needing to win. Assuming Ipswich win.

Meaning we need 3 points from the last 2 games.

You can throw Plymouth into the mix on 48 with Millwall (now safe) away and Hull at home.

Seems unlikely.

They're away at Coventry (play off hopes still alive!) on Wednesday.

Then they've got Ipswich.

It's simple, why do people complicate it?

3 wins and we stay up🤷‍♂️

Because that's almost certainly not going to happen, so thinking of that scenario being the only way to stay up is pretty depressing.

I prefer to think that as long as Huddersfield don't lose against Birmingham, 4 points could be enough for us, and 6 almost certainly will be.

Unfortunately, a Birmingham win does look likely. That puts them on 49. So, we're then banking on them losing at home against Norwich on the last day. Either that or Blackburn losing against both Coventry and Leicester, or Plymouth picking up a point or less against Millwall and Hull (both probably on the beach).

If we do beat Blackburn, they are probably even more vulnerable (with Coventry & Leicester to play) than Plymouth, tbf.

WBA have won 1 out of there last 6.

Pressure could be getting to them also.

All this "x points and we've safe" stuff is a load of old cods.

The more points we chalk up in the next 3 games, the better our chances of staying up (stating the obvious) but it's no longer entirely in our hands. Especially given the way our rivals have managed to chalk up shock results in their favour (like winning away at places like Leeds, Leicester and Southampton) whereas we've not managed to do that once all season.

Regardless of what we do, to a greater or lesser extent we are still going to be relying on other sides' results.

Well no that’s not right. It’s entirely in our hands! Win all 3 we can’t be caught by 3 teams
