Jokes aside, in it's not that the money is American, it's that we continue to see individuals, hedge funds, consortiums etc come in a think they've got the skill in the room because they've made money in other sectors. A few years back they were on the verge of the playoffs with Gary Rowett, but binned him off in favour of a 'big name' (Zola). It went the shape of the pear & they dumped Zola & had to get Harry Redknapp in to keep them up. This season they were on the edge of the playoffs with John Eustace, but binned him off in favour of a 'big name' (Rooney). It all went the way of the skywardly pointing breasticles & they dumped Rooney & got Tony Mowbray in...which looked like a good bet to keep them up, but then he went off ill. In between times they had a 9 point deduction, but depsite that, our old chum Mr Monk managed to keep them up. They have been circling the drain for about a decade now & this may be the season it finally catches up with them.
