Rotherham last season, Derby last season (a few others when at the business end like Bristol City at home when we were winning vs 10 men). This season Rotherham at home when we could have closed the gap on the top 2. And we’ve dropped points in 21 games out of 41 where in the majority of the games we’ve been the favourites. I don’t have much confidence we can get 10 points from 4 games when the pressure is right on. We will most likely fold at Wycombe then won’t have enough time to come back. Tomorrow though we have a bit of a free hit in that we’re not expecting much and if we did get the points the maths changes and it’s not so difficult to get over the line. So in that sense it’s a massive game

So a different squad bottled it in your first example, your second example is a game we had no in form strikers for and your final example is just saying half the season counts as big matches?
Buck Rogers
The old Sheffield habit of expecting the worst but hoping for the best is abundant in this thread. We've dominated just about every team we've played including MK. We'll smash 'em tomorrow if we get the front two right. Berahinho and Gregoy please. Expect the best. Hope is for losers.

We changed some players but the core group of players is still similar. Bannan, Luongo, Hutchinson, Palmer, Paterson, Windass, Dunkley, Iorfa. It’s not a different squad. Well we haven’t won in 21 out of 41 games, that’s a fact. No idea why people suddenly expect us to then just take 10 points from the last 4 games no problem when the pressure is totally on and one slip up means it’s over. The evidence suggests we want to avoid being in that position and leave ourselves some leeway

Another example is when we’re leading or drawing and throw it away near the end. That’s a sign a team can’t handle the pressure. And it’s been going on a few years not just this year. Bit of a coincidence if we’re saying it’s a different squad isn’t it

You need 18 to field a starting 11 and full subs bench. How does 1/3 = the same squad? Heck if all 8 of those players were available for those matches (particularly Luongo) we might not even be in this league.
new zealand owl
Bad set of results but an expected set of results. I still keep looking at what's left and think we have a very good chance. I don't subscribe to the fact that we have a team of bottle jobs but the one thing that may well come to hurt us in the end is the lack of a prolific striker to make a difference in tight games. I guess we've known that all season though.....

Jim
Where yesterday, we got results that were expected. I’m tipping that today’s results don’t go as expected. Ipswich Win. Wigan Draw. Wednesday Win.

Derby, the team gave everything that day and could have easily won. In those two specific games we certainly didn’t bottle it.
Daz
Cambridge were worthy winners at Wigan, but I wish they would have saved that performance for their next away game at Sunderland
