I was hoping to use this game as a chance to see who might be ready to break into the first team and do a job

Unfortunately it turns out that all our second XI should be playing for Barcelona according to this match. Impossible to assess anything against such weak opposition

We can assess our shooting though
It's been a horror story so far

lol

We've had about 5162688 shots on goal and most of em ended up on the West Stand roof

FT 1-0

That will do.  Played very well so far.

A pretty dominating performance from the players.

Hopefully we can build on this and get some more goals in.

F me.

That was a quick 90 mins...

Goals are the problem, we do look strong but no killer touch and we are playing against kids.

I'm liking Sow so far. Looks like he could be some player. Likes to run at people n has a trick or 2. Linking up well with Johnson as well.

Both those players are on fire tonight

As is Liam Palmer

Corbenuaeueuau is trying hard too

Wing having a quiet one sitting back a bit flicking the ball about

Wildsmith could have nipped to Meadowhall for a new hair band in the first half and nobody would have noticed

I heard someone saw Wildsmith in Burger King with Berahino just before half time.

I know its only against Newcastle u21 but you can only beat whats in front of you, and so far its a very promising performance.

If nothing else it builds confidence, momentum and gets the attacking players gelling a bit more.
