Popular Post Lord Snooty
Wildsmith Brennan Shaw Borner Palmer Dele-Bashiru Pelupessy Waldock Odubajo Kachunga Reach Well, we were probably never going to win it in reality, and with those points to claw back, starting at Bristol there's bigger things at stake than this. It was a nice positive start first half. Thought we looked the better side. A few wobbles at the back, inexplicably from our most experience player... Brennan and Shaw, did they find it tough? Well, I thought they looked ok in the main. They've had a night against some good players, experienced players , but they'll have learnt more from this tonight against the likes of Kamara and Cabano than they will playing 30 games against a 9 stone kid whose balls haven't dropped yet. I'll tell you something else, they'll have enjoyed it too. Tonight has been an excellent opportunity to give them this sort of competitive action against good, adult opposition, and I'm glad the manager has done it. He and the coaching staff will also have learned a lot about these lads. I liked Waldock too and Dele-Bashiru. I think there's a promising future for these lads here. Lost 2-0. Could have been 5-0 to Fulham. True. Could have been 3-2 to Wednesday too. Three or four excellent opportunities. Hold the front page! Breaking news! A Premier reserve team just had a bit more quality than our reserve team. Some chaps just like the mump. Not that it matters anyway. Bristol and our Championship survival is the most important thing. Especially with all this covid uncertainty. Last thing we want is to be bobbing about in the 3rd division. Well done Wednesday. Made a fist of a game that people thought we'd get battered in.

OwlBiSeeinThi
Quite encouraged by that. Good performance by the youngsters showing that we can mix it with better sides. Need someone clinical to put the chances away. If we'd scored tonight when we were on on top it may well have ended differently. Borner is starting to worry me. He's Diving in, getting too advanced up the pitch, leaving massive gaps which Fulham exploited quickly tonight. It's like his judgement is impaired at the moment.

Bez
Wildsmith 5 - Poor kicking, good saves Brennan 5 - Nice passing, average defending Shaw 5 - Decent in the air and on the ground Borner 3 - Lots of mistakes. Some good passing. Palmer 3 - Looked tired. Dele 5 - Lots of poor passes but has intent and strength Joey 3 - Energy but nothing else Waldock 4 - Calm, nice passing but no intent Moses 7 - Quality compared to others. He's the 2020/21 version of Morgan Fox Kachunga 4 - Didn't do much. Didn't look sharp. Reach 5 - Looked better, more intent.

nevthelodgemoorowl
Wildsmith 7 MOM gave it him for a few top saves. Spoilt a little by the throw ins he conceded. Brennan 6 Lasted the game a little better Borner 4 A bit of a fitness struggle at the moment4 Shaw 6 decent performance. Palmer 4 Just not the same performance as last week. Dele-Bashiru 5 needs to express himself a little more to many blind alleys. Pelupessy 4 being busy without skills. His attempted overhead from their half interpreted as an intended back pass was criminal by the ref. Waldock 6 always busy pleasing to the eye Odubajo 7 Most of the positive stuff came from here. Kachunga 6 A little lost as a lone striker Reach 4 why was Kachunga a little lost ? Penney (71) Rhodes (79) Hagan (82) Fives all ran and showed effort but the game had gone . Slow and poor positionally. He isn’t awful, but nowhere near the shining star many thought early on. 3

Joey’s pin-point volley back to Wildsmith while looking in a different direction completely wasted on you Nev.

Holmowl
Only Odubajo shone. Very good performance. 8 FDP promising. Cant be arrissed to mark the rest. Good run out for the reserves in those 3 games.
