Ended up being a bit overshadowed by events elsewhere.

I remember first hearing Roland was going to leave early that season. IIRC he initially wanted to leave around the Christmas period, but was convinced to stay until the end of the season. I remember telling people that he would be leaving and no one believed me, then the news broke. It was a sad day when Roland left. Arguably the best player in modern times to play for SWFC.

wasn't he homesick for Sweden and the club let him go from his  contract on the understanding that he signed for his hometown club …..

When he returned to England for Coventry City I was very disappointed.

If I remember correctly he said his wife was home sick so he had to leave

But then came back playing for another club

As usual we got shafted

Great player while we had him though

She was sick of something and someone seemingly got shafted!

He asked to come back.  Pleat said he didn't want him as he had just signed Blondeau.
