You know...I was hoping some of the new additions would reinvigorate the side and specifically some of the guys who have been around for a few years - Nando, Bannan, Hutch etc.

A bit of pace and energy to compliment their experience and knowhow.

Instead, it appears the class of 2016 are unable to get out of their old habits. It is early days, but based off our most recent efforts, I'm wondering whether the only way we truly kick on is by making a fresh break from the play off team.

It is like a half decent band getting back together for one last hurrah, but deep down we all know they aren't what they once were.

Sideways passing, aimless hoofs and a unwillingness to take the game to the opposition. It has been like this for too long.

Sadly, he's another one who's living off that great first season under Carlos. However, that's 4 seasons ago. If we're honest, our current full backs are not as good as Pudil and Hunt, Hutch, Bannan and Lee et al are 4 years older and on the decline. We have significantly regressed as a club and have sold the ground to pay for the regression. Bonkers.

Agree, but it's easier to blame it all on Nando, Nuhui and Fox.

Reach & FF in same team = playing with 9 men...........Hutchinson & Bannan.......now 8 men........no ball winner to get the ball wide to Harris.....7 men....Fletcher up front on his own...................= QPR keeper HAD NO SAVES TO MAKE

7 shots yesterday, at home, to QPR.

7 shots!

And I’m really struggling to remember 7....the pen, Harris blaze over late on, Reach drag wide 20 mins...struggling now.

Us fans were calling for “a more attacking” 442 all week. Well there you are then. We got it.

The Bannan-Hutch partnership was awful. Wasn’t really a partnership. QPR strolled thru us all afternoon. What happened to our early season high press? We didn’t even press the ball carrier in our flippin half. Watch the ball thru to Wells which Westy saved at the near post. Their guy had time to light a cigar, smoke it, scratch his arris, ring his mum, order his curry, collect it, chose his Saturday night film, and finally pass an easy unchallenged curler to an unfollowed Wells.

We were appalling.

I don't know why Bullen had to change to 442. All he had to do to play FF was swap him for Murphy and maybe switch sides with Harris.

Reach being more central would have helped Bannan and Hutchinson out in midfireld or, as we now have two extra central midfielders to those we had last season in Lee and Luongo, perhaps we could have put a square peg in a square hole by playing one of them instead of Reach.

Last season we didn't have the midfielders to play 433, but now we have, so our manager decides to play 442 to accommodate FF in a front two which has hardly ever worked properly. The general consensus on here has been that FF is better playing on the left and that 433 would be his ideal formation. I don't know why it hasn't been tried properly.

He’s never going to get back to 2015/16 Nando with us. He needed a fresh move over 2 years ago. Instead we gave him a new deal.

Let's get the facts right as some won't let the Norwich no show drop, Fulham put a 9  million pound plus add on to 12 million. Fessi was willing to talk to Fulham, DC said not for sale and would increase his salary to be in line with top earners ie. Fletcher and Hooper. weeks later no salary negotiated.

So the gamble DC took now appears to have backfired, not only on him but others too,but this is not Fessis fault it's bad management not buying and selling at the Wright time. Bruce more recently has tried to make DC realise this. Bannan, Lees, Lee, Hutch to name a few could have fetched good fees in the past but are worth very little now. So why do people just jump on Fessi.

Correct mate but for some its just easier to blame Fessi  it was because of him we conceded two goals, midfield couldn't get a grip , Bannans free kicks were awful, substitutions were totally ineffective but hey ho.

Not sure why everyone blames the players.. this squad is still top 6 as was evidenced by the points haul between Jos getting the boot and the end of the season.. 4 defeats in 24 matches. We’ve lost 3 already to bang average teams, most of which will be bottom half at the end of the season.

However, they’ve consistently shown that they don’t perform when not managed properly. Need a manager in to get the best out of them
