That wasn't at all what the article was about, you absolute whopper.

Read it again - OP is correct.

I read the guardian, but I prefer honest sport reporting more. And to be fair, their sports reporting is good.
That's why I read it.

There was absolutely zero reason for them to mention brexit in that article. None.

It's just the medias way of subliminal conditioning in almost every article,

Push the message, push our agenda.

Rather than just say, Bury's become a sheithole town like many small towns...... they pushed Brexit into it.

Desperately out of touch journalism from a desperately out of touch journalist!

The Guardian’s time may be better spent reporting on why millions of previously dyed  in the wool Labour supporters actually saw Brexit as an opportunity rather than the London centric, champagne socialist vision of Armageddon!

Brexit isn't even mentioned until the last paragraph, with the expected fallout already earmarking the region for more economic trouble.

If anything, it's a condemnation of the coalition government and their slashing of public funding that's essential to struggling small town Britain right now.

It's more to do with the Heading, if it Had been, 'Bury and Government cutbacks', people would agree with most of the article,

but that's not click bait.

It mentions brexit right at the end in the context that a no deal brexit might affect areas such as Bury. That would be a further problem in the area on top of losing its football club.

Or are we just not believing hard enough and a no deal brexit will be brilliant? That's a rhetorical question by the way, if I want an answer I'll go back into the politics section and try for one again. Didn't get one last time though so probably won't bother.

And as said.... shouldn't form part of any discussion regarding the demise of a badly run club. Brexit didn't kill off Bury.

About 99% of the media is pro establishment and quite keen on Brexit. Why do you think ordinary people have such a distrust of Europeans? They been fed anti Europe propaganda for 20 years by the tabloids and broacast TV. That said I can't stand the Guardian either, Morning Star for me (or the Indy now and then)

Again, lets talk about football shall we. p.s I voted remain, but I'm sick to the teeth of the medias attempt to blame brexit for everything from the black plague to the phooking clap.

I'm no fan of the Guardian, but having  read the article, your above summary of it is complete boll0cks.

That's incredibly moronic.

You serious?  If so, what makes you think that?
