Team for Bristol

Recommended Posts

Go with the last game but 4 changes bring in Thorniley for Pudil and Fletcher for Nuihu and Wildsmith for Dawson and Bannan in for Onomah

The big changes though is on the bench, we need options. Dawson, Pudil, Jones, Preston, Onomah, Joao, Nuihu

Pelupessy was at fault for both goals, and should be dropped for a few games

A few games is harsh, in our last away performance it was said that him and Bannan played very well together.  With Bannan returning I’d keep him in the side and give him a chance to redeem himself straight away

Agreed unless we are talking about distribution then he has been our worst.

He's not really found his range yet, I'll give you that :)

He did start a really good move that lead to a chance in the first half on Wednesday with a great little ball dinked into midfield

How was he responsible for the first? Should he have left it for a tap in to their guy?

I agree reed he was one of four players - Penney, Lees, Pudil, Joey - who need shegging for the second.

Can go to a back 5 if needed but games are won and lost in midfield, if jp playing hector at cb.

Finally a slight bit of consistency in the lineup this season. Bannan is back for this weekend which is a big bonus. My team:

                      Dawson

      Lees        Hector        Pudil

Palmer Reach  Pelupessy   Bannan     Penney

                                     FF

                      Nuhiu

I believe Jos will stick with the back 3/5. It seems to be his default system.

Don’t reckon Pudil will play two games in a week. He’s struggled in with cramp in last 15 minutes of both his recent games.

Thornily to replace him for me and keep rotating Fletcher and Nuhiu.

Fletcher’s turn v Bristol I reckon.

Oh how I would love to see;-

Dawson

Palmer

Lees

Hector

Thorniley (he will rest Penney)

Reach

Bannan

Joey

FF

Fletcher

Joao

Thorniley to slow to do the job that Penney does.

Think we will also always see 3 at the back aslong as Lees and Hector are fit

I really like it when we play 4-3-3 and I think we will see this formation more against some of the weaker teams in the division but I fear we will get battered like last season if we do that tomorrow.

The team will be

                       Dawson

            Lees    Hector   Thorniley

Palmer                                       Penney

                       Pelupessy

             Reach              Bannan

                         Forestieri

                          Fletcher

Subs: Wildsmith, Pudil, Nuhiu, Joao, Preston, Onomah and somebody form our Under 12’s team.

Interesting watching Leeds v Brentford.

The level of intensity , the number of bodies in midfield and the number of athletes in each team which allows them to do this..

We need to find a way of matching  this. At the moment we try and play a containing game against this kind of team and as we have seen get outplayed.

Only way I can see us getting anywhere near this with our current squad is 433

Bannan, Joey ,Onomah

FF Fletcher Reach

Midfield 3 playing on the front foot and helping the front 3 press.

FF and Reach working their socks off

I would give this a go tomorrow.

Please don’t go and sit back.
