Reach - over not around

If he was a sexual position, he would be missionary with your wife of 10 years. No spark, just going through the motions.

Who occasionally blows your mind with the odd world-class finish

Why keep a player who we can’t find the right position for?

All the other players you’re alluding to, of those, who would we get a fee for to reinvest in to the squad?

Now this is relevant.

I expect that a couple of fans favourites will be cashed in to fund the squad revolution in the summer.

Reach is OK, he's not the most exciting player too watch, but if you play him at left back or left wing, he will put a solid shift in for 90 minutes and deliver a few good crosses. Occasionally also score a worldy.

You need players like him in the squad, it's just a shame we don't have the flair players next to him.

He was very good when Luhukay first came in but he has been poor last 4 games. His touch and passing has been poor.

Certainly wouldn't get rid of him, not unless we plan on spending £100milion in the summer.

Can't see why Luhukay doesn't play him left wing back and Boyd in the middle.

Wasn't it only a few months ago some of you lot were claiming Adam Reach to have a value of £12m+ and to be the potential answer to England's left hand side? Ffs

Guilty.

One of the loudest was me. And I still stick by his value and his potential future.

(Seemingly) Without complaint he does his best in CM but he’s a fish out of water.

Left wing back in a 3-5-2 formation is his best position.

Not technically good enough to play in central midfield. Not fast or tricky enough to play as an out and out winger.

His main attribute is his stamina and team play. He has the fitness and energy to play left wing back. He will be a revelation there.

49 appearances, 4 goals, 9 assists, despite being played all over the park in positions that he isn't overly suited to.

His best position is left midfield.

The £4m (eventual £5m with add ons) we paid for him is an utter STEAL in today's market (Remember Madine went for £6m!)

Probably player of the season.

And you want rid?! Are you on crack?

But the poster above you says his best position is left back. Who’s on crack, those who are arguing about his best position, or those that realise he’s average and the team lacks balance wherever he’s played.

The asnwer is: put the pipe down laddo

His best position is opinion, the fact he has had a hand in 13 goals this season is fact. He's been our most creative player and has more assists (9) than the 2nd and 3rd players combined (Joao and Nuhiu have 4 assists each) so how can you say he's not done anything?

Getting rid of our most creative player by a long way is madness.

2 posters arguing for him to say, but neither can say what his best position is.

I think his best position is just about here...

Just thinking what system that might slot into.  Inside forward in an old School Herbert Chapman W-M I think.

If we insist on playing Reach in a position where he can be our most creative player, he will likely get 10 assists every season, which will result in us always finishing <16th.

His best position is definitely not opinion, that's a silly thing to say. I never said he gone dun nuffink ivor.

What's his best position?

Left Wing back, or Left sided Midfield. He is probably the fittest player we have at the club, rarely if ever injured, played the most minutes and the standout player by default during a thoroughly miserable season.
