This!

I voted for lower prices with youth coming through and also continuing in our pathway to promotion and can't believe that more people didn't do both of these options?!?!

As said before the two arent mutually exclusive

But the facts are there

prices are higher than ever

attendances are higher than they have been for years

Would I rather pay less to watch us hanging around in league one or pay a bit more to see us challenging at the open half of the table?

People have short memories.....3 years ago we would have only dreamed of having players in the team like Fernando Forestieri, Jordan Rhodes and Gary Hooper.

yep, things haven’t gone right for us, but I’d rather have a new manager coming in with the chance of getting the best out of those three than a 200

page thread over whether we will

sign Stevie May before Rotherham do.

Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank all supporters who completed the recent survey distributed by the club.

The survey followed a recent fans’ forum where it was suggested that the key football questions were put to a wider audience of Wednesdayites.

Consequently, those who have opted in to receive correspondence from the Owls with a minimum number of Ticket Priority Points were asked their opinions on these and a range of other issues relative to SWFC.

On and off field matters were on the agenda and we are pleased to report a huge level of feedback from the 28,000 fans to whom the survey was sent, providing information which we will use to help improve our services across the board moving forward.

It was clear that the questions relative directly to the football were the most pertinent in terms of general interest amongst our supporters, so in the interests of transparency, the answers are published below:

A) Would you prefer the prices at Sheffield Wednesday across the board, for example Season Tickets, matchday tickets, official merchandise, corporate hospitality, were reduced to previous eras? The consequence of this would be the sale of key senior players, regular promotion to the first team of academy youngsters and a reduced level of investment.

Answer: Yes 29.94% No 70.06%

B) Alternatively, would you prefer the club to build on the current level of investment, maintain the pricing structure, and extend our ongoing strategy geared towards promotion to the Premier League.

Answer: Yes: 70.14%  No: 29.86%

Thank you once again to all those who took the time to complete the survey and remember, if you wish to take part in future exercises, you must opt in to do so.

Thank you for your support.

Absolute gonads.

Swap it round and you'll be nearer to the truth.

Lies, damned lies and statistics.

This feels like it was a vehicle to do one thing.  Stop people moaning about prices.

Loaded question geared towards people agreeing to pay the prices they do. Club happily publicise this to show everyone agrees.

It's manipulation by the club and its leaving a nasty taste

Spot on

We only have the clubs word this is how the fans voted. The club are obviously going to say we voted for the continued high prices and continued level of investment , because that allows them to hike the ST prices up again this year.

We have now found out we are about to be bent over and shafted by the club with ticket prices again .

The positivity pot has run dry .

After the season that we’ve had it won’t wash anymore.

It was successful the last few seasons because fans thought Sheffield Wednesday were back and were prepared to stomach the prices for the Premier League, enough to basically hound down the naysayers. This time apologists can’t even argue that you ‘get what you pay for’ which was the only (semi) acceptable reason for increasing prices.

This policy was always going to come back and haunt us the minute things started going wrong.

Nail on the head.

The moaners come out of

the woodwork when things are going bad and they seem to take it to the extreme.

Were we doing a Wolves then the stadium would be full every week and stripes, prices and George Hirst wouldn’t matter half as much

Well considering the only valid reason for hiking up the prices was ‘you get what you pay for’ you can be damn sure people wouldn’t be moaning if we are in Wolves position but that’s not the case. We’ve had a crap season, with absolute howler after howler all over nearly every department of the club and still we’ve got a few people who have the sheer temerity to point the finger at the fans and tell them they ain’t doing their part by not paying the highest prices in the damn league.

This survey wont persuade one single person to pay for a season ticket who wasn't going to get one already.  It wont bring back one more PoTG fan who cant afford the prices any more.  And it won't stop people bringing up the fact that we have the highest prices around with nothing to show for it every time anyone asks the fan's opinion.

Literally all it has achieved is making Chansiri look like a child.

The only real 'poll' that matters in any way at all is how many tickets we actually sell.

Never mind the percentages, it would be interesting to see how many actually took part.

Yes. It's like when newspapers say something like "Half of Britons prefer Jam to Marmite" then use a survey of 1000 people for their evidence. Technically they're not lying but there also not being truthful. In this case the club just don't tell us.

so in the interests of transparency

In the interests of transparency? They've released two answers of the entire survey, haven't told us how many completed it or what the minimum number of ticket points was.

edit: second quote went weird, was quoting OP.

I can see a price freeze

i hope Jos stays

I hope the youth continue to come through

I hope we get promoted next season

A price freeze is the bare minimum the fans deserve after this seasons anniversary debacle.

In my view they deserve more, as they've been let down massively by the Chairman, who simply hasn't delivered.
