Looks like a solid signing. Replacement for Hutchinson?

Nah just means when he's back Hutchcan play in the back 3.

He's better in defence anyways, less risk of injury, less risk of silly yellows.

Back 3 of Hutch Lees Venancio

Looks like we've changed our transfer strategy. We have identified a position we were weak in found a player who can play that position and then we have gone out and bought him. Makes a change from buying loads of players and hoping that the law of averages will take care of the rest! Also a natural leader is EXACTLY what we need in that position. So far everything points to a great signing. How things have changed.

Indeed

No guarantees he’ll be a success of course but he ticks a lot of the boxes

- fills a position where we are weak

- Former Club captain

- Good age

- A regular in a side that qualified for Europa League in one of Europe’s better leagues

Hopefully he settles in a bit quicker than Van Aken and they both go on to be top players for us.

Hopefully also means we can focus on trying to get the best out of Hutch at centre back where he’ll not have to run around as much.

Welcome Joey!

How about we get off both Nuhiu and Rhodes back . Unlike most of our squad they aren’t always injured and they are all we got . I’d love Rhodes to come good , not sure he will but getting on his back isn’t going to help

How long do we wait for Jordan Rhodes to arrive ? We seem to have an imposter at the moment !!!

Exactly! And that’s no disrespect to Venancio or Pudil who I think both have plenty to offer, but that back three has the potential to be class.

Joey Pelupessy makes the switch from Heracles Almelo to the English Sheffield Wednesday. On Wednesday, both clubs reached an agreement, now the transfer of the 24-year-old midfielder is definitive. Sheffield Wednesday is in the Football League Championship.

Managing Director Nico-Jan Hoogma explains the transfer of Pelupessy: "In Joey we lose a good footballer and a good person. From his status as a young talent he has developed into a defining player. We have seized the opportunity that we have offered him with both hands in recent years. Joey himself wanted to make the transition to Sheffield Wednesday and we grant him that. "

In the summer of 2014 Pelupessy came to Heracles Almelo. In 3.5 season he came to 119 official matches for the club. Pelupessy became a fixed value in the base and grew to be the captain of Heracles Almelo. The born Almeloër scored five kee

It’s a good point regarding the transfer strategy. If you are correct I wonder if Joss insisted on having autonomy over transfers before he signed.

Not e way Lees has performed this season. A bit of competition might buck his ideas up. We know he's a good player but he does have bad patches.

Instead of going out of your way to annoy me Spencer...you'd do well to heed this bit of advice...

I know there's a market for the kind of niche posts that you specialise in but there comes a time when you've got to join the mainstream.

Unfortunately this is not your time.. however I would urge you to post something that will get a positive response as a start.

You forgot to answer the question in the ramble response.

You remind me of of an old drunk man sat in a park shouting at birds and trees randomly.

Have a word with yourself you are frightening the children.
