When the Owls return from the international break and face Bolton Wanderers we will be playing with David Coote as the referee

Coote was reported in the sun a couple of months ago like this:

TWO referees have been SACKED just one day before the new season kicks off following allegations of misconduct.

Whistlers Darren Deadman and David Coote have both been shown the red card after being investigated by the Professional Game and Match Officials Ltd (PGMOL), who are in charge of picking refs.

Championship whistler Coote, who also took charge of FA Cup and play-off matches, is being investigated for separate allegations to Deadman.

Coote is currently on the Select Group 2 list - a step just below refereeing Premier League games.

He has not been allocated a match for this weekend and is reported to be injured.

Looks like David Coote has returned to Championship refereeing after that layoff starting with our game at Bolton.

Let's hope the officials don't have a negative impact - we need to keep our momentum up for everyone's sake.

Mysteriously "sacked", then reinstated ref, has shown 13 yellows in his 3 pub league games this season and then gets assigned to us for a game against rock bottom opposition who can't win or score goals and whose tactics are to lump it and look for free kicks.

I think I can see which way Saturday is going...
