Sorry what a load of old dross. The kop for example has existed in its post terraced form for roughly 25 years with no issues whatsoever. I've probably attended roughly 250-300 matches in that stand including the apparent chaos that was the Brighton semi final. No issues at all.

North stand again is fine .

the west stand, despite being an eye sore is again perfectly safe . QPR and Brentford's away sections are far more cramped than any area at hills borough yet they sell at capacity.

It staggers me people exist who would actually support this level of idiocy. Our ground could hold capacity easily, without the need of silly netting and areas off sale.

Let's not get started on villa Park, one of the smallest concourses I've seen at an away ground

We all have to remember Hillsborough will always be a special case because of what happened in 1989. 96 people died at our stadium. All the restrictions that have been put in place are for our safety. The North Stand lost 100's seats after the Bradford fire and nobody said a word. So the next time you moan about restrictions at Football grounds being made which makes life a little inconvenient remeber that before the restrictions were put into place, football fans used to DIE!

What happened 25 years ago was tragic but there was standing only and fences around the pitch. The capacity was quite a lot bigger than it is now and the potential exits were drastically less than they are now. The restrictions in place at Hillsborough are beyond ridiculous when you look at other clubs facilities at the side of ours. I have been in worse stadiums than ours with less room on the concourses and segregation that is a line of stewards. It just seems the club is being punished for a one of tragedy that would never happen again due to stadiums being all seater.

"It's for your own good".

The mantra of the self appointed busy bodies of the world who have stolen a living from the ever growing, out of control H & S industry.

Couple that with a council & police force that have taken arse covering to a new level following monumental f**k ups that other bodies could only dream about and you have some idea why they impose their pathetic 'made up as they go along rules' on our club.

Basically, as everyone knows, we are still paying the price for what happened in 89.

To pretend it's 'For our own good to keep us safe' is George Orwell gone mad.

Apparently there are circulation issues on the north

Not sure how having 600 seats empty at one end helps circulation on the rest of the stand , unless folk in those seats used to go for a slash on the kop end

And why is it ok to cut exits by 50% against Leeds etc

If that Liverpool disaster had involved, say, Coventry instead, we wouldn't have had all these problems.

Since the Liverpool disaster, we've had a Coventry v Leeds semi, a Boro v Leicester lge cup final replay and at least 3 full internationals.  Without problems as far as I know.

Yet we've been completely ignored for big games since the 1996 Euros.

Could we not buy a few houses at the end of Vere Road, demolish them, and make a new North stand exit.

Cramped concourses at the back of the west stand shouldn't be a problem. They could put a new roof on and extend backwards. The club did it with the old South stand.

That's part of the inconsistency, "No exit via Leppings Lane" They're so concerned over our safety they bottleneck everybody into the same exits.

Same with the netting, getting out of the stands you used to be able to wander along a row of seats to get out through another gangway.

We've been completely ignored since the Euros because there are more bigger and better grounds than Hillsborough around now. Hillsborough would be a garbage venue for a big neutral game, it isn't big enough and the facilities are poor.

No exit via leppings lane is under normal match day circumstances....in the event that the stand needed to be evacuated quickly of course there would be exits at the Leppings lane end.....but that doesn't suit many people's agenda

Im talking about normal match day circumstances. Closing off exits that were designed with the stand is causing more issues
