For those wanting Carlos to be replaced

Recommended Posts

The seasons before Chansiri arrived are impossible to compare with now. Our squad back then probably cost around £1million in transfer fees, now it's close to £30million I would guess. Carlos did a great job to gel so many new players together in the first season, last season was ok, this season who knows...

It's the Chairmans job to choose the next Manager, not ours.

Judging by the way he's kept CC even though all the alarm bells were ringing against Huddersfield that were still ringing yesterday I'm not totally sure DC should do the choosing. He needs the correct sort of advice this time.

As I stated in another thread before it was all deleted. This was not the first match, nor just one defeat. It was Carlos first game of his 3rd season in charge and yet the players looked like they had never set eyes on each other. DC's money has improved the squad over this time. CC will not change his approach , nor style, we've been sussed big time and it needs to change. If CC CAN and WILL change then ok, if he won't then he has to go

Those 6th and 4th place finishes are now totally meaningless.

We have the best squad in almost 20 years, a strike force which the rest of this league would give their right arm for and yet we seem intent on trying to scrape goalless draws at mid-table outfits like Preston. And we've reduced a £10 million striker into a poor-man's Nuhiu.

I flipping despair.

1) I don't want Carlos to be replaced but I do want him to change his ways.

2) If he doesn't change his ways I would like him to be replaced, preferably by a British Manager who has got a team promoted from this division before.

3) I think that both Nigel Pearson and Gary Megson could fit that bill. They have points to prove as professionals and have a connection with the club.

I really don't want him to go I want him to be a success and get us promoted I like the bloke . But for me things changed at Wembley we should have gone for it like the football we had played all season the football that took apart a very strong Arsenal team , but we didn't we changed to nervous cautious football that day .

Last season yes we finished 4th but my God it was boring watching & if it wasn't for Leeds having a melt down I don't think we would have made the Play offs . Then in the Play offs again Carlos made the mistake in the 1st leg yes we got a draw but the amount of pressure then heaped on to us for the Home leg was massive , everyone expected us to walk it but Huddersfield had nothing to lose now no pressure on them .

Carlos chose to not attack and sit cautious when we did take the lead the ground was rocking but again like the rest of the season we scored and stopped doing everything that got us that goal Sat back and tried to defend the lead .

Then the strange substitution taking the goal scorer off after they made it 1 1  , Atty on (I have no problem with Atty I think he can be useful ) Winnal left on the bench again .

Anyway if Carlos goes back to the 1st season great but if not he's got to go for me . My 1st choice would be Kilnsman if we could persuade him if not Dean Smith at Brentford or the Fulham manager.

Like I said I'm hoping Carlos wakes up and changes his tactics stops picking his favourite players when they dont preform we have the players to win this league (2 defenders needed granted) but not with his current tactics.

To be fair I still believe Carlos was a great appointment. He should however have gone after Huddersfield, as he's reached the natural end of his ability to take us any further.

Staying much longer will just tarnish his reputation.

Whilst I appreciate you taking the time to reply you've pretty much just been unable to answer the question of who could come in and do better

Carlos Sheffield Wednesday.jpg

Just a quick one for all those who want Carlos to be replaced as manager of Sheffield Wednesday after just one defeat (by a penalty)

Look at the above showing the finishing places of our club over the last five years

Look at how Carlos has taken us from a struggling Championship team to one challenging year in year out for promotion

Look at the year on year improvement

And then tell me if Carlos goes and you get your way - who will be able to come into our club and have a year on year improvement record like the one that Carlos has?

I just don't think for a second there's anyone out there who is better who could come in and do a job

Carlos record stands for itself - year on year improvement

Year on year for two years !!!!!

Brian laws

Stuart Grey

Neither who I rate too highly would get mote out of the squad than this clown

If it's purely cash and down to £££ then is Chansiri to blame for us not getting promoted?

Frankly that's rubbish.

If I provide tools, computers, equipment etc to help my staff do their job better and achieve the results I demand I expect fully that my staff will achieve those results.

If staff don't achieve then the exit door is just over there.  Carlos is no different he's had significant investment in the team to

give him the tools to get us promoted.

Carlos has had the resources to get us promoted not just to playoffs and failed on both occasions.  I'll still give him time but not much more as he has failed twice to get us up through the playoffs and served up a pile of dross yesterday.

Maybe yesterday was a bad day at the office but I have a funny feeling deep down that his time is coming to end soon.
