mirodo
I had an e/w bet on us and the Pigs to both place (top 3) in our respective divisions. So yes. £50-odd quid in it for me if we finish 3rd.

Someone on here will have something to say about this... Agree totally. So many opportunities this season where we lost points. On the flip side, how many teams did the double over Newcastle and Huddersfield?
MysticOwl
I wouldn't hold our breath over this Newcastle and West Ham thing. The report is about £5m. I doubt these clubs would risk much for that amount of money. They earn more than 30 fold that in a premier league season.

sherlyegg
West Ham and Newcastle ‘could face points deductions’ if found guilty of serious tax fraud following HMRC probe https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3417212/west-ham-newcastle-face-points-deduction/ Can't see it happening though... sherlyegg
Simon Stainrod is involved and at the time he played for dem blades, I know a man who knows him...he says the blades may be deducted 20/30 pts. When he played for us he was ok and not under investigation for that period

By the time that has all played out the playoffs will have finished months ago. If they were to get a points deduction it would more than likely go on for next season. twolaptops
You know the scenario.........allow Newcastle to go up......wait until West Ham & Newcastle safely in mid table.........deduct points.........so no real penalty. If it was Wednesday............no promotion.....demotion to League One.......forced to play in red & white stripes....big fine

HarryJ
Just shows how expensive the late Barnsley goal was for us and the late Leeds equalizer at Newcastle. 2 extra points at Barnsley and could have feet up already.
