If we hadn't f**ked about in just a few of our games this season we could have still been looking at automatic IMO.....

Someone on here will have something to say about this...

Agree totally. So many opportunities this season where we lost points.

On the flip side, how many teams did the double over Newcastle and Huddersfield?

I wouldn't hold our breath over this Newcastle and West Ham thing.

The report is about £5m.

I doubt these clubs would risk much for that amount of money. They earn more than 30 fold that in a premier league season.

Don't think the amount of money matters if they've broken the law

West Ham and Newcastle ‘could face points deductions’ if found guilty of serious tax fraud following HMRC probe

Can't see it happening though...

By the time that has all played out the playoffs will have finished months ago. If they were to get a points deduction it would more than likely go on for next season.

You know the scenario.........allow Newcastle to go up......wait until West Ham & Newcastle safely in mid table.........deduct points.........so no real penalty.

If it was Wednesday............no promotion.....demotion to League One.......forced to play in red & white stripes....big fine
