A 25 goal striker. 15 goals from non strikers (do we have a 3rd of that?) to take the pressure off the front men. And probably the best attacking winger in the league. But it's taken them a few years to get there. We're only halfway through our journey I suspect.
19owl08
Dunk & Knockaert. Take them away & they wouldn't be where they are. It's that simple. Im a big fan of Loovens because of his leadership & organisation but Dunk with Lees would be amazing. Knockaert is type of player we've been missing on the wing. Don't personally like the arrogant idiot but they do say the best players have arrogance.

They've certainly nailed the transfer market the past couple of years. Quality over quantity. In contrast we've been very hit and miss. Our star 4m signing who we all thought was going to take us to the next level has been frozen out. But Houghton deserves the most credit. Excellent manager. Athelwulf
A better manager and better recruitment. They identified what they needed and got it. We didn't (top centre half and a ball winner in the middle were needed) so now we're playing a more inhibited style to compensate.

DesWalker
They've got that drive this year. You get a real sense that they are determined to put last season right and don't want to rely on the playoffs to go up. The togetherness they have was epitomised when Knockaerts father sadly passed away. Can't put a price on team spirit (as we demonstrated last year) They made shrewd signings in the summer and have a very good manager at this level. Athelwulf
Last season we went on all-out attack, with a devil-may care attitude. We were also helped by the fact that we were an unknown quantity. This season was always going to be different. It's OK when you've got the ball, but what happens when you lose it? That's where the centre half an midfield animal come in (which we didn't get). That's why Carlito is now playing a more conservative style (which doesn't suit us), and we only go for it when we're behind. It happened against Bristol City, for example. It allright calling FF and co, saying that they want out or aren't interested, but the style we played last season suited them. This season's format doesn't. Had we got those two players, we probably could have continued to play as last season.

We had the togetherness from the beginning of last season when the tragic Shoreham Air Crash happened that's why we were so close last year. We have kept the squad together from last season and recruited very smartly. Duffy and Murray being the obvious two.
full fathom five
SMALL MARGINS (ooohhhh mrs) No injuries to key players all at the same time? Which could happen and hopefully coincide with us eventually going up the gears back to our best. Take their 4 best players away for a number of games and see how they cope. We will come through this spell and teams like Brighton, L##ds, Udders, Barnsley ect will suffer dips in form which will probably coincide with injuries to key players. Keep the faith in Carlos and his team.
