My first choice are #1 and then there are options to play the same roles or switch around in games where necessary. Excellent strength in depth and we just need everyone singing from the same hymn sheet now and getting the confidence going. There was nothing better than last season when the team were clearly confident and that lead to a buzzing environment with everyone happy. When you have a good squad, on the rare occasion that everybody is available, you have to have some very good players on the bench. It is just the way of things. Also, people thinking that Jones will not start are living in Cloud Cuckoo Land. He is the only player that can give balance to our midfield (apart from Hutch). Also, after hearing his interview after the Brighton home leg game, Carlos is a big fan of Lee & can't see him being dropped anytime soon from that position unless injuries etc,... kick in. Totally agree and only put Lee there because of his energy and that I think he'd be better than our current RB selections. Just can't see us not playing Abdi and Jones when fit and available because of the outlay on them. Lee for me should be playing every game though. He has the luxury of making tactical picks to best suit the opposites. If he has the nous to take good advantage of the resources available, we'll be there or thereabouts after 46 games. Holmowl Posted September 7, 2016 Share Posted September 7, 2016 Most posters concentrate on midfield, which is understandable given the array of quality we have to pick from. Provided we play players in their correct slot, it probably doesn't make a huge difference if Bannan or Jones play, or if Lee or Abdi plays. What does matter, and what I really hope Carlos is on top of, is where the goals come from. Like him or loathe him ( as several seem to do) we only have one out and out goalscorer, who is on the bench at present.
