Miffed
If we are digging 10 foot deep then surely United will dig 11 foot deep, and dig quicker just to say they were the first, and name the hole after someone involved with a different sport who once drove past the hole. There will be commemorative shirts on sale and a trophy, obviously with a hole in it presented to those who dug the "oldest hole dug under the floodlights in modern day football". The hole will be 2 foot wide with 5 feet in hand. United fans shouldn't be worried if they don't get to see the hole because this is the hole "they can afford to miss" If anyone Wednesday fans are jealous of their beautiful downtown hole, just remember we can "have the derbies" they'll have the hole. How wonderfully hole rich they will be.....in fact they will be known worldwide as the "hole kings"

nevthelodgemoorowl
Listen I'll say this once and once only... There is no slope at Hillsborough, It's the rest of the country that has a slope !
nunbarrtowls
Sorry, I misunderstood the OPs reference to the Hillsborough slope. I thought he meant the actions of the people sneaking out early after or during a poor performance. A bit like what we keep seeing at St jimjams and the Stadium of tripe

If their teams home performances have been anything like ours this season then they're in the best seats.

themaskedowl
kewl. Is that a Desso pitch? But seriously, the only thing that would make that better would be to play with multiple balls at the same time. FlyingOwl
We should have themed bars/resteraunts in and around the stadium when we make it big time. I propose 'The Hillsborough Slope' as a name for one of the bars. Potters 3 corners would also be a suggestion.
