Liam_Baggies
I found these earlier at my Grandads - I believe the score finished 1-1. Only cost him a sixpence. It was also the year we won the FA Cup. I hope these pictures show up ok! My Grandads response when I found them: "who would you have been supporting?". He was very good defending particularly against Scots. Edited January 22, 2015 by dunsbyowl

Live the Dream
Went to this game. Doesn't stand out, a dull 1 1 draw. Went the year before when we won 2 1. We scored an early goal, then Ron Springett about to clear the ball, was upended on edge of area by Jeff Astle, he dropped the ball and Astle rolled it into the empty net, ref gave the goal - we weren't happy. 1 1 at half time. Second half we played em off the park and Eustace scored a beauty from 25 yards. Job done.

Mountain Owl
Was there for that one. Think it was my first or second visit to the hawthorns. I can remember being well impressed with the ground and wandered from end to end without any problems. Proper ground and supporters. Great days they were even though the team was cr*p. OhForAnotherShez
I was also thinking about the Astle / Springett incident! Remember everyone being fuming , but chanting 'Justice' at the end. maybe it was the same game when Mobley was hurt near the 'visitors' end and the crowd were giving him stick when receiving treatment. Eustace calmly went towards the touchline and started giving them the 'rods' - memories eh?
