daveyboy66
Thought he did well myself linked up play well but we still fire to many in to him at head height we have to plays to his strengths Agreed his first touch was great...as soon as we get him running on to crosses instead of back to goal we'll have player...he was a handful for both centre backs. We just need to give him some service
SiJ
The big Austrian lad could be a real find. Zayate has to be stronger in the air. Was too easy for Burnley on both goals.
scram
We're badly missing Buxton Fair enough Palmer got himself into a decent position for both goals but his lack of experience showed when he didn't engage the attacker in either case Mind you i suppose he didn't want to get in the way of his centre back and probably expected him to deal better with fairly routine crosses I think with Buxton there we may have prevented one, or both, of the goals Not in any way blaming Palmer - just pointing out that a specialist full back who is decent in the air is such an assett
trevdi9
maybe wrong on this but latter half of the season we as some say performed like a promotion team , so why change the tried and tested if that was the case, apart from the loanees who needed replacing or signing ,Now if lierra was a liability as some will have what was his frailties in the latter promotion form ,Zayette or whatever its spelt like may turn out to be a good buy ,but would much rather a midfield general came in or even another striker ,because our problems are around that area rather than defence ,

Before Zayatte came in, I think DJ knew we needed a striker, a central midfielder and a centre half. We had the chance to sign a centre half so he's taken him. We're still working on the other two. Bluesteel
It sounds as if zayatte is better on the ball and on the deck in general, but we really miss someone attacking the ball in the air. Llera and Jones before him were great at that. Burnley put two good crosses in which asked questions of the CBs and it was awkward but anything in that area should be dealt with one way or another
SiJ
Didn't Gardner and Zayate play together for two or three seasons at Hull?

Guest Sniper1
3 changes to our back 4. A back 4 needs time to gel, i know, i know but it does. Zayatte and Gardner will be a good partnership, we just need some fullbacks. Put Buxton, Reda or Mattock at fullback and we will be solid. Our problems are in CM and our striking options. Atdhe Nuhiu looks a player by the way, too good for us.
sage owl
Has he won a header for us yet? Baffled as to why Llera isn't back in the team. stick to writing books Lee you know nowt about football,
Swiss Toni
Anyone who thinks we will improve with Llera playing CB are mistaken. In 3 games he may have one decent game, one poor game and then a shocker. I really don't know what people see in him as a defender to rate him so highly. Given a little time and with boo boys off his back Zayatte will be a far better defender. I just wish we had someone in CM to take the ball off the defense and link play. SWFC_Liam
Unlike yourself who knows everything... To be fair there is no way Llera should be put back in, Zayatte has played at a higher level for a reason.

Guest Sniper1
I also think Miguel Llera is getting some undue stick. Yes, he might not be the perfect defender but in our position we need grafters and a bit of passion. Miguel gives us that.
Lawrie Madden
I don't think its fair to judge him until we have our first choice defence playing as a unit.
trevdi9
llierra was good enough to help with promotion ,he was good enough to get his position back from Taylor he was good enough to fortify our defence during the latter part of last season helping us to stay up when we played promotion form , now all of a sudden he is not good enough , ok i'll go with that , Edited August 11, 2013 by trevdi9
trevdi9
Taylor played at a higher level for a reason ,hasn't cut it here though yet , same could be said of Bothroyd ,it dosent allways play out the way it should , I hope it does mind but that's in the lap of the gods
Guest Sniper1
More sense Trev. Miguel Llera and more so Kamil Zayatte are the least of our problems.
Guest Retford Utd Owl
Against QPR he looked well but when sam vokes 6ft plus who went down all the time like he was hot by a sniper So maybe Llera could have given him some rough challenges?
