Never understood how JPM didn't get a new deal. I won't make the mistake of mentioning the ownership at the time but he deserved a chance after playing every game in promotion. No where near good enough for the championship, a few of us said it at time and got dogs abuse on here. Turned out to be a decent L2 player. Was always disappointed that the Dave Jones never gave him a chance in the Championship, always thought that given time he would be decent for us. I only have good things to say about him. By the time he got back he had to not only get fit but also adapt to the division in a team that had won 2 in 16 I think. Unlucky really. Nice guy by all accounts as well. Floaty corners almost won him the 2-footed corner challenge, if it wasn't for Tom Pope winning the all-time record Other entries in this series featuring current Owls at their old clubs include Bannan (not amazing), Dielna (gave up after 30 tries or something, not even kidding), Pudil (very decent) and more.
