hodgybysea
I live ten miles down the North Yorks coast from Middlesbrough and as the only Owl in Town have been getting stick for weeks about this one,I collected big time after the August win and the boys want their brass back so come on Wednesday make my day. As an Owl from the Johnny Fantham,Tony Kay etc era, recent times have been difficult to stomach and were even worse when Boro were in the Premiership as keeping a low profile was the order of the day in the boozer. I've been up here a long time and sometimes the 200 mile round trip to watch some pretty poor stuff makes me think about my sanity, but once I walk into Hillsborough I still love the place despite it obviously needs a lot of TLC. Boro fans are a decent bunch ,especially the now fans, not those who just followed the premiership era then left them when they needed them most, although I do appreciate it is not the wealthiest of areas these days . So come on lads time to crack that home form and make me a very happy bunny.

M Royds
I prefer all the North East clubs to other areas. IMO, Largely supported by a local fan base, definitely not glory supporters, turn out in numbers and respectful of other clubs like ourselves. dorian gray
Thanks for the informative, interesting and inquisitive replies ! I know Rotherham sold out the same 4,500 allocation so thought that would be the limit. Most Boro fans including myself have a lot of respect for Wednesday fans who are loyal, vociferous and travel in numbers - certainly no animosity on our part ! In terms of numbers our away support has always been good in terms of percentage of our home support. Always get behind the team as well. This season has been exceptional in terms of numbers. After nearly 8 years of mediocrity the fans at last have something to be proud of. Bandwagoners on top of the hardcore ... which happens at all clubs during the good times. 8 years... EIGHT FACKIN YEARS? you've had 8 years of MEDIOCRITY?... f' me, we've had half way towards 8 DECADES where mediocrity would have been fantastic... Mav-erick
As already said , our segregation policy is complete and utter overkill . Im surprised SYP havnt gone for the the full house and called in the Army and put gun towers on the triangle and on top of the control box with machine gunners in them in case the two sets of fans start taunting each other. Ha ha that's brilliant!!
