PGVR6
FFS Just get rid, should have taken the money when we had the chance. 'One step back' for Sheffield Wednesday injury hope as key man could miss two more matches (thestar.co.uk) 7
Mr Farrell
To be honest, I thought he'd left during the Jan window. Are you sure he's still at the club ? 3

1952Owl
Ah him PGVR6!!!! Thought we had sold him. Little said about him. I have doubts he is the kind of player u need 4 a tough relegation scrap. He's OK for big cup games or play offs. More and more injury prone.
Geörge Whitebread
By his own admission, he was flippin rubbish in that play off final.... until THAT moment. I love his honesty in interviews, but as a player, I'm afraid we need fitter and better if we're going to push on. 6
room0035
I think the team is more balance without him Povada in 10 games has shown just how little Windass brings to the team. 7 1
striker
I like Windass, he's a good player. But, in an environment increasingly governed by statistics, the most important is availability before you get to any of the other in game contributions. Windass routinely misses large parts of every season. It's not his fault, but can only be a good player if he's on the pitch, which he isn't anywhere near enough.
WimJunk
Been here a long time, maybe it's best both parties have a fresh start.

gypsyowl
Big fan of Windass have always stuck up for him but this latest injury is so disappointing, probably best we part ways in the summer
part timer owl
Shame, hope he can come back and do some good for us before he leaves.
Miffed
The bigger questions and the bigger picture for me is.... Why do we keep having players with long term or recurring injuries? Why does our squad always seem to be ravaged by (similar type) injuries? Is it recruitment not picking up on it Is it caused by the training facilities Is it caused by training methods Something else or all of the above?
fpowl
We don’t get out of windass what we reportedly pay him for that reason get rid. I expect better return from one of our top earners than half a season here and there
matthefish2002
I wouldn't offer him a new contact in the summer if his current one expires. If he already has a contract for next season we are probably stuck with him as I cant see any other club offer a good deal when he is a bit of a crock.
lukeyswfc
That’s a shame. I expect him to be released at the end of the season.

Jim
Another potential Luongo situation but the bottom line, he stays here and it’ll be more of the same. I think it’s the facilities personally. They’re not fit for purpose at a professional football club in the modern game.

And your post with all due respect is full of ignorance. The stats seem to back up a Windass contribution. 4
