@owlstalk Posted March 13 Share Posted March 13 One thing that will be important on Saturday is Sheffield Wednesday's press. Particularly in our own defensive third. Ipswich averages 7 shots per game from outside the area. That is as many shots as we average total. Only 3 teams average more. Nearly a third of that volume is Connor Chaplin, who has had more shots from outside the area than any other player in the Championship this season (11), just 4 less than our total output (15). Broadhead is another player who is in the top 10. with 7 shots from outside the box this season. It will be a risk to drop deep and solely focus on defending central spaces. Ipswich have only scored one from outside the box, like us, but from watching the games their outside of the box shots often lead to cluster shots that have resulted in goals. Playing John Buckley, who has high defensive outputs and is dynamic, in the 8 position rather than attacking mid may be beneficial in line speed against Chaplin and Boraodhead out of possession. 2 5 Owlstalk Shop Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Be quite happy for them to have it in their half and play on break with a quick front 3.
