Birmingham Sack Rooney

Recommended Posts

I know there are caveats with lower league and expectation but compare the actions on take over of Birmingham and Wrexham owners. One chooses to employ a superstar name, the other goes for a tried and trusted manager who has performed at a higher level.

They could have gone for a Brendan Rogers / Antonio Conte type if they wanted a high profile name with proven track record. They would be mad not to get Cooper right now...

Moral of the story really is choose your advisors VERY carefully or pray you get lucky... (See the Chansiri model 🙄)

His statement shows how out of touch he is with management. He doesn't think 13 games was enough to oversea the changes. Why change something thats fighting in the play offs to a team which is now fighting relegation under his watch.

He will be appointed somewhere because of his name but as he's proven. He isn't a manager.

Kinda like Munoz changing our whole team even though we were a newly promoted winning side

There's no way that he wrote that. Somebody did it for him

Yeah, that will be his lawyers writing that.

Despite that, it still comes across as delusional claptrap.

An absolute vanity appointment from Birmingham City.

Shambolic.

Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney walked into high profile managerial jobs without a clue how to manage a club or coach one.

Lazy entitlement by those players,  and incompetence by club owners.

All are now serial failures, with Lampard unemployable and a laughing stock, and Gerrard struggling to keep his job in Saudi Arabia.
