Although to be fair I think that was a last minute thing because we hadn't arranged a friendly for that last weekend before the season started so we had to take what we could get. Popular Post @owlstalk
It's good that it's been stipulated that under 5's must be accompanied Last thing we want is the OCS Nursery Squad rocking up in their burberry nappies and stone island dummies and taking over the gaff 12 Owlstalk Shop
BridportOwl
Bloody 'woke' lefties. I was 4 and half when I went to my first match alone. Had to get a light from the bloke next to me for my woodbines as I had left my zippo lighter at home.
bradowl
On same OS announcement it says ticket details for Harrogate Town friendly will be announced early next week. We play them next Friday so Postman Pat is going to have to be very quick delivering the tickets.
Bassetts Allsorts
Deary me! On the pre-season Richter scale this uninspiring fixture must sit bottom?

room0035
Sheff Utd are playing 3 Yorkshire Derbies as well as games against Lincoln Mansfield and Burton not glamour ties but decent standard teams. Could we not have organised a game against Chessy, Donny or even Sheff Utd, they have a training camp in Portugal too!!! It just feels that yet again there is little or no structure in place at the club in key areas.

Because it's literally just about getting fit, not overloading fixtures so fans can have a nice afternoon out in the sunshine. Just a thought.

We need decent level teams to get match fitness and sharpness. Playing 3 games over 4 weeks then going into the season and having to play 7 or 8 games in 4 weeks. you just know we are going to pick up injuries because the players are not match fit, and drop points because they are not match sharp. Preseason results dont matter, its the games in the legs and with our current schedule we are going to be under cooked come the first game of the season. In comparison Portsmouth are playing 7 first team friendlies and a training camp in Spain.
