Conor Grant

Played 9 games since joining Rochdale, relegating their best player Aaron Morley who started every game thus far this season to the bench.

Got his first call up to Republic of Ireland Under 21 squad as well.

Could prove as bigger loss than Liam Shaw.

Rochdale have won one of their last 9 games and have failed to score in 7 of them. Not sure about the positive impact he is having.

Considering we'll be in the same league as them next year too.

I hate what this football club has become. Every single decision the club makes stinks.

They are highly likely to be relegated with the form they have shown since Grant signed for them.

You'd have to go some to say he'll be a bigger loss than Shaw.     I'm not happy about Shaw leaving but it's in the balance if Shaw will make the grade.

Back to Grant though - He has a lot to do and if we face him next season i'm sure he'd still not get into whatever squad we have.

Spoke to a pal of man thats in rochdale and he says that Grant didnt get off to a flying start but has really grown over last 3 or 4 games and that hes begging to show confidence, hes impressed with the lads technical side and reckons weve gifted them a real gem in the making.........it never rains does it when your an Owl!

He has played 9 games for a team second bottom of League One.

In the 9 games he has played they have won 1 - in which he was subbed off with the score at 1-1.

Clearly a massive loss.

At least it proves Grant learnt certain skills during his time with us...

Watched him play for them 3 times. He looks as a real deal and shows flashes of class, but he is still adapting to pace of first team football and it shows. He is nearly there, though.

Rochdale doesn't play badly, but they are conceding from their mistakes and half chances, while missing some clear cut chances at the other end.

Malek still mourns the day we released Rocky Lekaj, just for a bit of context.

To put your post in perspective, I never said I thought he would make it. Quite opposite.
