heppers
I was thinking back to 1990/91 as I often do. We had some good players but also got the very best out of some relatively unknown players. Since then we have not seemed to get the best out of many players. Arguably many players have underachieved. Which players have we got the best out of? archieswfc
Phil King for definite. Shirtliffe, Sheridan, Palmer, Pearson....the list goes on with players from that era. Since, I'm struggling. We seem to buy and sell at the wrong time, consistently. 1
sexpistol
Going back a bit, but I would say, Terry Curran Lee Chapman ( he did well after, but I think we really kick started his career again) Gary Shelton Lawrie Madden Phil King

Probably the best way to view this is to look at players when they leave our club Do they disappear into anonymous oblivion? If so they are your answer Owlstalk Shop

PuntItLikeDielna
For most of the 11/12 and 04/05 teams (with a few notable exceptions like Brunt, Whelan and Antonio), it was the biggest and best achievement of their careers, showed what can be done by an organised team with good spirit and managers who understand what is required at the club

Emerson Thome
Carbone was a bit of a journeyman who never scored more than 7 league goals for all his other clubs.* Edited July 13, 2020 by Emerson Thome Edit - Apart from Bradford, where he got 10 in 42 games, so hardly much better 1
