Morepork
That it’s come to this.......5 years, tens possibly hundreds of millions spent, the spectre of an EFL punishment and Mick is the one shining light.......
DJMortimer
Is it just me or does the managerial career of Ryan Lowe so far sound a bit like a poor man's Danny Wilson?

It’s a job with far too much risk. I think that you’re right about Hughton. Mind you, I’d take a risky job for half a million a year. My jobs risky and I ain’t getting paid at the moment. Big Mick McCarthy though has achieved some success in football management unlike Monk. Two promotions to the Premier League and a Championship play off with hard up Ipswich Town is a very decent record. When was all this though? We'll have missed the boat. You can't have 'Up & coming' AND 'Proven & experienced'. It has to be one or the other. (All this is totally hypothetical as obviously we still have a manager). Even Arsene Wenger at Arsenal was fired after 20 + years of winning trophies. But the key fact with Monk is that he has been fired after very short tenures. His tenure is averaging at less than 12 months. Monk is divisive and falls out with people. Monk was fired by Swansea, fired by Boro and fired by Brum I’ve had enough of you already. You’re like a fvvcking scratched record.
Owls Loyal
What an unpleaasant response from shandypants. This is a forum to express views but this can be done in a courteous way. My view is that Monk is not an effective Championshop manager. I am still waiting for one piece of evidence to suggest why Monk should lead any rebuild. Wouldn't shed a tear if I heard Monk had left but him and the club will already have plans put in place for next season now. Can see little point now changing manager and having to start again with pre season plans and transfer targets.
