Unacceptable - Monk

Recommended Posts

Here's no debate it was horrible.

The first ten minutes set the tone. We talk a lot. Train a lot about getting a foot hold in the game and getting in their half.

Pushing on. First ten minutes especially we have to get in their half. Get them facing their goal.

We kept turning back into our half. Playing ourselves into trouble.  You get punished for it. Playing team mates into trouble going backwards.

We've caused our own problems. It'd been self-inflicted. Our decision making. We haven't set the tone. We played ourselves into needless pressure and mistakes. Going backwards.

The red card? He's for it completely wrong. But it's the first ten minutes that's done us. Needless going backwards.

At home that is unacceptable.

Thing is though, he's clearly saying he wanted them to go out and attack and they just haven't done it.

If that is the case, it shows he is a crap manager because he can't get his players to do what he asks.........BUT, it isn't the case, he clearly set the team up the same as aways games because it's all he knows. To sit back and counter attack, regardless of whether we are home or away, or who the opposition is.

I suppose if that’s the case, are you saying the players won’t play for him? That’s a big call

Which is fair enough.

But why set up with Bannan playing behind Lee and Luongo?

That's not attacking intent and neither is playing one up front at home.

So why’s he played one up front against a side that hadn’t won for 6 games?

Erm...

Yeah...that's the kind of result/performance that makes you sit back and wonder.

That's about as bad a performance as I can recall in a long time.

Think we all know the players are mentally fragile and lack bottle, but the manager has got to accept more than his fair share of responsibility for that horror show.

Worth remembering that's four defeats in five now and all four defeats were a result of woeful performances.

Which two of the strikers available would have made us any more of an attacking threat? Nuhiu can do 20 mins, and Winnall and Rhodes are a complete waste of time, and always have been

That’s complete BS from Monk. We showed no aggression or attacking intent during the whole match.

Like it or not, this team cannot/will not play at Hillsborough.

My concern is that, once again, the club/team have pi$$ed the goodwill and feel good of the fans up the wall.

I despair for the fans who only see the home games, it’s not good to watch
