Unacceptable - Monk

This squad of players are incapable of playing an easy on the eye style of attacking football so i am not sure what people expect. We will always get what we have always got with this group.

I suspect you're right - backs to the wall and keep it tight away and try to grab a goal or two on the break seems to be the plan, and it's working more than not.

Our home performances are nothing short of shambolic save for the very odd game.

So we've lost 4 out of our last 5 games, the 4 we should have won we lost, one we expected to lose we won, really poor run of form shows our team simply isn't good enough. I'll judge Monk this time next year once he's had a summer break and been able to bring in some of his players and not poor ones that he's inherited. Doubt any manager would be doing any different at the moment with this team, as many have said it needs a clearout. We are where we deserve to be mid table anyone who thinks any different is slightly deluded.

How can we lose to Blackburn?  Not even on the radar to lose by five.  We hardly went in their half in the first fifteen minutes if any of the players have gone out tonight on whatever pretext need sacking.

Shouldn't even leave the ground until they sort it out, thousands of fans  watching them on wee wee poor wages and that's all they can be bothered to offer.

Not even close to acceptable if you don't want to play for the Owls let it be known to the management and fizz off ASAP.

And if any of  the management have no interest then let be known to the owner and fuckoff ASAP.

I can't not believe that one iota of effort has been put in from last week, no tactics, no effort, no passion.

£20000 many of you are getting for one game and in two games you earn more than 95% of the fans do in a year.

Every single player should donate their wages to a charity because in the real world most fans would have been sacked if they offered that at work.

Taking the mick out of Wednesday fans by Wednesday players.

At home the initiative is on us to take the game to our opponents the lack of quality is there for all to see and when you put that lack of quality together with a lack of effort then you get games and performances like today.

The lack of quality is understandable but the lack of effort is just disgraceful.

There would have been very few Wednesday fans that would have thought/expected this team to have come back into that game from 0-1 and down to 10 men. Other clubs/teams - yes, but not this team.

The absence of Fletcher and Harris has essentially made us impotent.

Of the more creative players, only Bannan and Forestieri can play that type of football Can’t blame Monk, but we should have brought in a bit more of that in the summer A lot of the blame for setting us up to play this way, lies with Bruce, if he was responsible for the summer signings

If we had lined up with two strikers today the result would have been the same, the system was a small part of the problem.

You can blame Monk, obviously not got them in the right frame of mood, I'd be be surprised if the poopydoo had got the rumblezoids if for training last week.

True - but to be fair to him, he'd gone by early July - we still had a month or so to sort players out, and the players he brought in were in positions we also needed to strengthen.

DC seemed more bothered about having a ruck with Newcastle than focusing on manager and player recruitment thought July and early August.

Here's no debate it was horrible.

The first ten minutes set the tone. We talk a lot. Train a lot about getting a foot hold in the game and getting in their half.

Pushing on. First ten minutes especially we have to get in their half. Get them facing their goal.

We kept turning back into our half. Playing ourselves into trouble.  You get punished for it. Playing team mates into trouble going backwards.

We've caused our own problems. It'd been self-inflicted. Our decision making. We haven't set the tone. We played ourselves into needless pressure and mistakes. Going backwards.

The red card? He's for it completely wrong. But it's the first ten minutes that's done us. Needless going backwards.

At home that is unacceptable.

Garry Monk

At least he has seen it for what it is and hasn't tried to write it off due to the red card like some (thankfully a minority as its a ludicrous viewpoint) are saying.

However, it is 3 home games in a row now that we have been 2nd best in the early stages and regardless of what he is saying they work on in training in that respect, it isn't being shown on the pitch and he has to take some responsibility for that.

You was up monks and the players arse the last week

I accept your apology

Don't know how you have got the cheek when you started a thread calling out those who had been critical of Rhodes, only for it to be revealed you had been one of his biggest critics.

All he has done is question the manager based on what has happened today and our home form, the praise in the past couple of games was merited, not sure what you are getting at.

The majority of home matches this season have not seen us taking the game to the opposition or getting into their half. We hardly ever start out on the front foot so this is nothing new

We can’t blame Monk for that. Without Fletch we don’t have anything up front.  When Bannan gets man marked, instead of battling it out he drops so deep that today he looked as though he was playing left back at one point.  Monk didn’t tell him to do that. So the opposition just press higher and with no one to play out to it just gets worse.  Then when we can break no one’s busting a gut to get forwards?  And it’s not Monk’s fault that we’re so short on quality all over the pitch.  He’s right, the players panic and turn backwards.  Everyone sees that we need a striker in urgently, but we really need some creativity sat behind, so when Bannan next gets man marked we don’t capitulate like we did today.

Monk keeps talking about 'having heart', they hadn't any today. Fortunate to have escaped more boos but only because so many left before the end.

A total embarrassment to which Monk contributed with his team selection nd tactics. One forward at home to an out-of -form Blackburn, playing high balls to Winnall as a target man was equivalent to turning over possession and playing too deep all contributed to this debacle IMO.

did you go to stoke ? 442 nuhiu Rhodes  same Cardiff hull 442 3 losses awful performances , without fletcher we are a mess  , and you cant play bannan hutch or bannan and lee etc etc in a midfield 2 . bannan can sometimes be the biggest problem to when things go wrong as so much when things go right. I prefer a 442 normally but we cant with the players available do this . winnall Rhodes and nuhiu and nowhere near good enough until this is addressed and the midfield sorting these days will be happening again and again . I sometimes wonder if we should strike a deal with efl now take a 12 point deduction and not waste any more money , then get the waste of spaces/past it players out and completely rebuild in the summer , last thing I want is next season another yet another huge cloud hangs over us with a points deduction what can easily see us down to league 1 and maybe worse as in boltons case. but please lay off monk last week he was king monk this week he has hit men after him ,ridiculous!!!
