Premier League 2019/20

Recommended Posts

Just 2 seasons ago Man united finished 2nd in the league. 6 points in front of Liverpool.

Someone surely has to answer for the position they find themselves in. Far too many players no where near good enough to wear a Manchester United shirt and, they paid a fortune for them!

The Glazers are a vampire squid on that club.

Until fans stop giving them money they should get used to having the wee wee ripped out of them.

The same Glazer's that have given numerous mangers around 600 mill to spend in the past few years?

Tbf, i imagine most of that has been generated by the club itself, as opposed to the Glazers dipping into their own pockets.

The structure at that club is a complete mess and has been for a few years now.

It is also all well and good spending 600 million, but the fact is most of that has been wasted.

Since Fergie departed, they've have made very few successful signings.

They pissed away millions on decent managers and quickly sacked them as the board believed they had better players than they actually had. They'll continue to wee wee away millions as clubs and players see the name and think £££££.

Going to be a long, expensive road back for them.

Which is why the fans are on Woodward's back, can't go singing about wanting him to die though, that's not on.

I'm not Mourinho's biggest fan by any means but when he said finishing 2nd with that squad was his best achievement it's looking like it sort of makes sense now, although he did have Zlatan in good form and Pogba actually wanting to play for them at that time.

To turn to Solskjaer to try to address more than half a decade of mostly decline was as bad of a decision as most of their recent signings.

“Given”.

It’s the clubs money! The Glazers haven’t put a penny of their own dollar into Man Utd. On the contrary, every year they take about £80m out in dividends.

They are parasites, pure and simple.

Not going to argue with that, I've not read up on it enough to comment but what you say seems to be the general feeling of many Man Utd fans.

Despite this, they have still spent plenty of money on players and managers and continue to get it wrong.

They are 11 points worse off than at the same stage of last season yet they are 1 place higher in the table, which says it all about the strength of the division this season.

I don’t know the ins and outs but what do Man Utd fans want the owners to do?

Nobody can say that they don’t back their manager in the transfer market can they?

Think Newcastle fans’ gripes about Mike Ashley not putting any of his own money in and merely using club’s own money to ‘strengthen’. As well, of course, of making a tidy profit each season. Kind of like an enormous version of that.

Exactly.

What more can they do?

Because the Glazers have no one behind the scenes who know anything about football. Ed is a banker. His job is to keep costs down, raise money through absurd sponsorship deals and to keep the share price up for his Floridian pay masters.

The whole set up is geared towards cashing in on United's heritage and global support, not being a successful football club.

Put a proper football infrastructure in place. Ed has been trying to get a director of football in for years with no results. Transfers are consistently flopping. Appointing Ole now looks like yet another mistake.

The owners are skimping on everything. Old Trafford has a leaky roof, the facilities are miles behind City and Spurs. All the while they are taking dividends and paying the interest on their £500m debt.

Obviously not been for several years, but I have heard a few people saying the ground is in need of a major refurb.
