6 years in the wilderness while we were streets ahead, playing in Play Off semis and finals, signing players we had dreamed about

Now Jos has us going away to their place - with 13 league places separating us - playing 6 defenders and going for a 0-0 with just 25% possession

How we have fallen behind United.

Jos Luhukays and Dejphon Chansiris Sheffield Wednesday. Makes you proud

I would never say the ‘City is their’s and they will always be in our shadow. However, we are not going anywhere with Chansiri and Jos. I’ve no confidence in either. One has mismanaged the Club on a huge scale and the other has no plan or vision for the team. No preferred system, style of play, footballing philosophy. We are a total mish mash and I’m genuinely concerned at the moment.

In the 70's it was like that, Boxing Day changed that. In the early 80's we were the dominant force and indeed rarely played them.

Found the early 90's worse because we were by far the superior squad but they kept beating us. Until the semi final.

But we declined and they have been in the Premier League more recent than us.

So I reckon over my 44 years of watching we are at 50 50

Yeah but you know what its like when you’ve got a post all worked out to have a right go at the club after the game and then they go out and get a point.

Disappointing

lol

I never realised you could set an ‘auto-post’ for this site

I’ll try it later on perhaps :ghoulguy:

And that's what's more important than the result.

We are being taken backwards, and downwards. It's death by a thousand cuts.

Gobsmacked some of our fanbase still can't see it, and continue to make excuses.

Yep - can't believe people are actually celebrating how far we've dropped behind them

You were ready to go on the attack as well weren’t you?

We've just come off a sequence of games where we've conceded fourteen goals in five matches.

Against WBA five late minutes of madness cost us two points, and against Middlesborough we weren't in any trouble up to the 50th minute when two gifts gave them the game.

Away at Birmingham we could have been two or three up before they equalized and against Norwich, apart from gifting them an early penalty, we were pretty comfortable again,

until throwing it away from the 50 minute mark.

Yesterday, against one of the top scorers in the division the one thing we didn't want to do was give them any easy chances, which we didn't.

Early on this week there were plenty on here saying (or was that secretly wishing?) that we'd get slaughtered.

Didn't happen, did it? - thanks to the one bloke with the calm head in all this hysteria.

We've just set a good base to progress and have got two top strikers (FF & MM) on their way back for the next game.

Get a grip.

And this is what all this negativity is really about for some fans, being stuck behind United for a while.

Some really can't hack it.

Get used to it, it does happen from time to time.

Did you see  Wilder's post-match interviews? The city most definitely remains ours, and it stings him like a *****.

Yes things are a mess for us at the moment but football turns fortunes quickly.

If Chansiri has learned from his mistakes and we go again next season leaner and wiser then we will have every chance to reclaim the league position over them in addition to the obvious psychological one we have over them already.

We are Sheffield's footballing 'powerhouse'.

The city is still very much ours.
