Better than El Dorado, S6. Mental.

They have only just started to scratch the surface. Folk want someone who's either out of favour or on the treatment table as captain, everyone wants Jos out but no one as come up with a decent replacement, and the show goes on and on and on.

Needs a theme tune and a slot after Newsround

Didn't he say he was happy jos had taken the proper time to bring him back from injury as he was rushed back to early under Carlos. I had heard anyway he was carrying a slight niggle and seeing a specialist???

Yes.

And indeed he was in Barcelona with his specialist the other week too.

He was great at Brentford earlier this season.  After a steady enough start he decided to start running around like a maniac kicking folk before he gave away a daft penalty and didn't come out for the second half most likely following a heated discussion.

Great leadership and a great example to the youngsters early on in the new season.

Jos put his foot down with a few after that game and got a reaction.

It's quite clear we have a group of Bigtime Charlies behind the scenes and I'm sure he'd have cleared them out by now if he could but he has to make do with sidelining them and concentrating on the players who've decided to muck in and renounce the special treatment.

Bollocksto 'em I say unless they are maybe prepared to hold their hands up for a chance to be part of the fresh start.

Its like Fred Carnos on here, some reight drama queens. Lets sack Jos but half them dont know why. Ha ha ha ha. Priceless. Lets get ready for another Nuhiu bashing. Everyone is critising the club but no one knows fuu*k all whats going off. Ha ha ha. Its like a mad house. Better than P&G anytime.

That's why they are criticising because of the complete lack of not knowing wtf is going on at S6 , it's acceptable for the supporters to feel like they are being treat like mugs , cause they are.

Love how people just assume Hutch is a bad influence on the side and is disruptive, setting bad examples.

Where was this opinion when he was the anchor in midfield for two seasons under Carlos? Putting in man of the match performances week in week out? Nobody was calling him a big time Charlie then. Same for Westwood when he was the keeper behind three seasons of record breaking clean sheets in the clubs history. But now he's distruptive and is being rightly sidelined.

Wish I knew the personalities and attitudes of players in the squad as much as other posters apparently do.

Why would you announce that a player is a problem if you want someone else to take on the role of putting up with it at some time in the near future?

By your very own admission above neither has contributed anything of note for more than a season.

We are supposed to be looking forwards.

Westwood hasn't had the chance.

Hutch isn't getting the chance.

I agree we need to move forward, and if it is purely a footballing decision in regards to Westwood I respect the decision, but it clearly isn't. And it's the wrong decision.

In a side trying to play out from the back, in a side that can't keep a clean sheet, in a side lacking leaders and characters on the pitch, it is daft to leave two players in Hutch and Westwood out of the matchday squad.

Would a fit Westwood improve our match day squad - Yes

Would a fit - Hutchinson improve our match day squad - Yes

Hutch has had loads of chances.

Westwood wanted his chance to be different to everyone elses.

Would a fit Westwood improve our match day squad - Yes if he went through the same process as everyone else to prove his fitness and didn't go missing from time to time.

Would a fit - Hutchinson improve our match day squad - Yes but he's never fit long enough and when he is he lacks discipline at key moments.

He hasn't managed to do it regularly at any point so far since his signing.

The truth has been told re. the plan for the future but sometimes it's better not to give reasons for why some aren't part of the plan to protect all parties.

Westwood and Hutchinson aren’t ever presents I’m afraid. Is that because of genuine injury, suspension or attitude?

I don’t know.

But I suspect the manager has given up on some of the Senior Pro’s and, let’s be fair, he should be able to rely on them. Week in week out.

I think he’s sending a message to the squad that he’s now calling the shots. No favourites.

Now he may well shoot himself in the foot - but, on their previous long term availability he hasn’t nothing to lose, has he?

Or would you prefer that some of the players still picked themselves?

Because, let’s be right, somethings wrong with the playing side.

Don’t let it stop anyone but there appears to be no information in this thread on what is supposed to have actually happened today?

So Sonny, let me tell you how world war Hutch started ;...…………………………………….

In the fred covering our U23's match V Burnley today, ( in which both Wildsmith and Van Aken dropped clangers), someone posted a copy of one of them tweet things which said, quote " Sam Hutchinson kicking off down at training ground saying he can't even get a game in U23's"

I'd copy and paste it if I knew how, but it's near the bottom of page 2 of the fred.

Seems the OP has seen it and come up with his/her own version worded to cause a stir. Mind you, I love how half the forum are ready to tear out each other's throats on the back of a rehashed , unsubstantiated twatter rumour pmsl lol lol lol

BTW. Our U23's lost 1-4 to Burnley.

Who's he replacing out of interest, Bannan or Pelupessy?  He's been right on the edge of being good enough for the last 18 months.  He's a liability at times and injured far to often.  If Hutch is the answer, I dread to think what the question is.

Here’s a few questions Hutch could be the answer to:

Which player is more suited to a back 3 than Tom Lees?

Who scored the 3rd goal in a 3-0 victory over Arsenal?

Who is the best defensive midfielder in our squad?

Which player was named man of the match when we beat Newcastle 1-0 away on Boxing Day?

Name a player that you’d have on the bench ahead of Baker, Kirby, Preston, Shaw or Rice?

You don't think it's about cutting the wage bill then? I've always thought this situation with Westwood was to do with trying to force him out and get him off the books. Hard to say with Hutchinson at this point as it doesn't seem as though he's even been an option yet this season (fitness wise).

Westwood missed the odd game here and there with injury. But to be fair last season was the only long term injury he's had as a keeper. And he wasn't the only one who has missed a large period of games.

For the record, I agree on Hutch. He's a liability and his fitness over the past 18 months has been poor. But when you see us try and play it out the back every week and fail miserably, it's a shame to have a player like Hutch who could remedy that not even make the squad. When you lack bite and character throughout the side, and Hutch is not in the squad it seems daft. He's not necessarily the answer, but is sticking an 18 year old who's not even had a game for the under 23s on the bench the answer?
